Having no problems with it is very different than being able to enjoy it without the severe cornering limitations. You adjusted your speed according to your knowledge of the bikes limitations. Being able to corner at more severe angles than your bike is capable is a safety matter, in my opinion. Of course there is room for everyone... As I mentioned before, I consider forward stupid because you can't stand up on the pegs like you can with a conventional footpeg position as needed to go over an obstacle/bump/pothole. I think that is stupid, I realize it is my opinion. There is no relation of this to the seating position in a car. I'm not talking about "that" far (extremes), I'm talking about the fact that I see so many cruiser bike needing to go very slow when they corner, to avoid scraping. They have very little ability to lean into a corner. I consider leaning into a corner (not to the point of any extremes) to be one of the joys of riding a bike. My friends that have taken their cruisers to the "tail of the dragon" or other similar twisties admit that they really can't enjoy it very much because they are so limited in their cornering ability. Such a limit on that ability is a safety related limitation on cruisers, they will dump you down if you scrape too much, and it is waay too easy to scrape too much. That is likely due to the engine being a very short stroke design, and only 650cc. - so the cylinders aren't nearly as tall as long stroke mega displacement engines. I do love motorcycles. I don't like overly loud engines of any sort, but the cruiser style Vtwins are the best at their ability to make an insanely loud bark. I prefer the conventional seating posture (not cruiser style pegs forward or cafe racer style scrunched up) where you can actually stand up on the pegs if needed, such as when going over a bump. If you can't stand up on the pegs, you get launched up in the air by the seat. I prefer bikes where you can actually lean significantly into a corner. That doesn't require a cafe racer style, the normal seating position style bikes used to be able to corner quite well. The engine itself of a Vtwin is narrow, but usually a bunch of other shit is hung out on the sides so that overall it is really wide down low and unable to corner worth a darn, their riders have to have their legs spread wide when they should be the narrowest of bikes out there. If I were to get another bike, I think it would be one of the off road capable bikes. You can go over curbs, explore offroad, get airborne on certain bumps, high seating position, great cornering clearance, very maneuverable.
