  2. Mental note (as deduced by watching the video): Snorting wasabi powder will relieve sinus headaches, however, it will cause initial discomfort. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  3. I think modular rigs may be a little closer to reality than people think. Many older designs are prohibitive of a good method to make the main tray replacable. Newer rig designs are always in the works, it's a matter of someone having the time and facilities to produce a usable model. Rig manufacturers tend to make rigs just like old rigs with "new and innovative" features that quite resemble everything else ... "only different"... sort of. Catch my drift? If looks weren't a factor, it would have happenend already. People are picky when it comes to sport applications so I doubt it will happen there first, but down the road a piece, it's quite probable. 4. That site hasn't changed at all. I think the first discussion about it is This one==>right here. I'd still like to see it even though I wouldn't use it. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  5. What's a mother to do? I was wondering if you could crop it a little more and make the picture even smaller. We can still make out what it is. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  6. I was talking to a hangliding instructor a couple days ago. They used to advertise tandem hanglider rides but have since stopped doing so. They offer the rides but advertise a first lesson instead. The student return from tandems was practically none. The students swore up and down it was the coolest thing ever and they would be back but it didn't happen. When the student would take a first flight course, the rate of return was very high. The reason behind it is the fact the student finds out from the very beginning he/she can do it themselves. Confidence sets in and that next level seems more in reach than ever before. You've already done a tandem. You're second guessing yourself because you SORTOF know what to expect. The difference is you didn't have a bit of responsibility except try not to throw up. If you remember to arch... cool.. if you didn't... oh well. If you are sure you want to be a skydiver, I'd recommend just going for the AFF. Hands on does wonders. There are tandem progressions where you do something like 3 working tandems and then move on to freefall with your own rig, but that's more hands on than just a ride. You actually go through a course to learn the steps required to move on to the next step... and so on. Tandems are great but you've already done the ride... get on with it. Good luck! 7. Learn what the shadow is... you can't avoid it so don't turn away from it. The shadow belongs to you. If you turn to avoid, it will meet you on the ground at high speed. You'll be briefed but definately remember that one. Have fun. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  16. I missed the first typo. Since you fixed it, perhaps fixing the second typo is in order. Example: Skymama has been dropping the "F" Bomb a lot. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  20. If you say so Besides younger isn't an option. Ask me how old I am... I can say 26 which of course at this age I might believe it to be true, but it doesn't make it so. It's been so many years already that I'm not sure anymore. There's so many candles to blow out once a year it's hard to keep track. 21. That too, but I suggest getting your ass in shape. I don't know about you but I plan to do at least one jump per hour. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  22. I don't think Javelins are tolerant as you speak. They only have a thinner decoratice main flap. In general, it's not nearly as secure as an Infinity main flap and it's even less secure if the main canopy fits the main tray loosely. A wrinkle or 2 on a rig ... in my opinion ... is no big dea. My personal rig does not exhibit wrinkles unless I allow it too though. Put the rig on tighten it up and see if it's still wrinkled. Rigs tend to look a lot different on your back. -Pack it wide. -Close the first flap and pull it real tight. (key to adjusting proper loop length) -Then close the sides. The flaps should just touch. Often, the closing loop is not pulled through the first flap far enough. (this goes for most rigs), so it gets adjusted improperly. Packing grommet to pin works fine if the canopy is packed wide enough. Changing the BOC... well, if it were mine, I'd split the sides, sew on a pouch and stitch it back up. Well, that's not entirely true, only because I use a pull-out My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
