Guys - a few quick thoughts. I can certainly do with submissions to add to the Pub. I have been spending every free minute I can find (and that of a friend back in San Francisco) to try and move the site to a dedicated server. That is currently my highest priority and have unfortunately not been without bumps.... Highest priority because this server has become so slow that it's painful... As for Happy Hour - as soon as I have the site moved I will be able to look again at some of the things that have fallen by the way-side. Keep the faith.

Heya guys, So, a "gentleman" called Mike Sparks wrote me some feedback on the article on Personal Parachutes: The Ethics of Safety currently on the home page. Just so you know, I explicitly told him that I considered our conversation as public and reserve the right to publish it to my site. Anyway, I have now gotten bored with his chit-chat and thought I'd share it with you guys in case some of you want to email him.

Hey all! A while ago (when things were a bit more feisty ) I said I was going to ask for some help in moderating this forum. I basically just need more eyes as I don't have enough time to go through all the threads anymore. Enter skybytch! I'm sure most of you know her and will understand why I've asked her to help. She won't be able to plug Square 1 as often anymore... Feel free to click the Notify Moderator icon at the bottom of a post if you see something that concerns you. Milo - I agree, I beleive I should add jumpsuits. I have not been able to scrape the time together to do it though. It's on my list of To Do's. If you want to play you could probably help me with this... if you are going to be doing jumpsuit research. It should be easy for you to look at my other gear listings and figure out what kind of information I'll need to add jumpsuits to the database. If you collect info on Manufaturers, the names of all their jumpsuits, the material it's made of, the purpose of the suit (i.e. camera, freeflying, RW).... grab a few pictures off the web and send it may way. That should give me a base to work from...

Alphons - currently when you subscribe to Dropzone.com the system does not automatically create a POP account for you on my server. Without going into to much detail, the mail is managed through a series of complex scripts which sorts the mail to actual file directories. Also, my scripts does not currently allow for mail forwarding. The next iteration of the mail script (which will hopefully be ready in the near future) will still not allow for POP accounts, but you will be able to forward your mail to any account you want - which should be a good work-around if you have another POP account somewhere else. Keep the faith. It's coming.

PhreeZone is right. If you go to the Skydivers page there's a quick search option on the username, region and US state. The Power Search option will enable you to search on whatever you want to. I will add a few additional Quick Search options in the future. -

Sorry - I simply don't have the time to re-edit stories passed down to me from my news syndicates. Feel free to re-write any sensational story (yes, many mainstream stories are) and I'll consider them for publication. Any help appreciated. Also, know that a lot of my news stories are straight from the press.... you may want to give them a skip if you know it's something that gets on your tits.

The email script creates a session that lasts for about 6 hours - if you leave your PC on it will ask for your password again. This is simply a security measure to prevent others from reading your mail should you walk away from your PC and forget to close the application. Yahoo mail does the same thing. There is a higher level of security for Email than for the rest of the site. Safe swoops Sangiro
