I agree that moderators should have a slow hand. With an average of more than 1700 posts per day I think they're doing just fine though. By introducing some method to the madness I would argue that we get to the "meat of the situation" a lot more often than on rec. Isn't this one of the reasons why people don't frequent rec anymore? I know it is for me. It's impossible to get to the "meat" through all the noise.... Oh yes, and speaking of moderating... A good idea indeed... Unfortunately this will require a change to the source code (not just to the templates) and I'm trying to make as few changes as possible to code simply because I don't want to have to go back and make them all again everytime I upgrade the scripts.
