With all due respect FFF - people who used to not bicker when this was a "great site once" seem to have jumped onto that bandwagon recently. Now what exactly is it that you don't understand? Not for America, but I have served and bled and all that bullshit.... I for one should have asked a lot more often "Who am I serving, and what am I bleeding for?" Thanks Chuck. For the Dropzone.com forums, make sure you save it as a JPG - regardless of whether it's a drawing or photo. I've turned off GIFs to avoid those annoying flashing animated avatars. Those people who still have animations got them in early!

I am certainly not trying to defend the comment. I am simply saying that you'll have to find a way to comment on that without going at the person... As hard as it may be, Dropzone.com will not be a platform for personal attacks. You just did.

That's not true. You can rip the comment as much as you want. You can not rip the person. The problem with rec is that most people seem to either have a hard time understanding the difference or ripping the person is OK. I suspect it's the latter. Don't confuse them on here though or pretend that we don't make the distinction. Rip the comment as much as you like. How many people do you think have been banned on Dropzone.com? I'd be surprised if Dropzone.com users sit at home thinking: "Ooh, I should keep quiet... I may get banned... that would be the end of the road for me!" I think people don't comment because they buy into the character of the community we're trying to create here. It's a different character from rec. May not be for everyone, but it's the one that I'm betting on to keep good relevant skydiving information coming to the broadest audience for the longest time. I personally think if you can't have a conversation or discussion about the appropriateness of the phrase "burn-in" without resorting to personal attacks that you have bigger things to be worried about in life than whether you get banned here or not. Of course you can register another name, but remember it takes me a single click to get rid of the new one again. Then you have to go through that whole annoying registration process again just so I can click on your name again when I see you around. In the end the odds are dramatically stacked in my favor to simply wear you out! If you come back and behave, I may never know that it's you... but I also don't care, because you're behaving!

Heya all, I dropped in on Eloy again this weekend to do some coaching jumps with Greg Gasson and just to have some fun in the sun. Holly (FreeFlyHol) flashed me in freefall. Betsy, Holly, Eliana (from Airspeed) and I did the mother of all Horny Gorillas. Greg flew camera and the video is sweet! I was also fortunate to be able to sit down, talk to and get to know Mike McGowan a bit. He's more than just and extraordinary freefall photographer. He's also a thinker, an artist, a philosopher and just an all-round great guy. On Sunday he flew with Betsy and Victor (2-2 Tango) and took some photos. I thought I'd share some of the images on here. Betsy can fly and Mike can shoot, no doubt about that. More of Mike's work in the Featured Photographer section soon.... That's all folks. Enjoy!
