True....In Tennesee there was this thing called the ejection seat. That was a fun contraption. As far as this Dropzone ride, it looks like the Giant Drop at 6 Flags Great America. Cool ride if you like that stomach in the throat feeling. Its cool to see a penny on your leg harness or held out in your had appear to be in zero gravity as you plummit. Cheers! Chris

Unfourtantly I won't Betsy. I'll be travelling with very little means of transportation so Eloy is out of my reach. Plus I already bought my ticket package out of O'hare to Vegas on Dec 27th, 7 nights in Circus Circus and out of Vegas back to O'hare on Jan 3rd. Maybe one day I'll make out to Eloy, The WFFC (wanted to wait until I'm 21 so I don't get escorted out), Richmond, Couch Freaks; the list goes on and on

There are a lot of fond memories of my whole 1st jump expeirence. The first was pulling up to SDC and looking around thinking that this is nothing like I expected. As far as the whole jump is concerned, I was in the front of the otter, 2nd to last out, and my buddy Ethan was the 1st one out. I had 7 of my good friends on the plane with me ready to jump out of it On jump run when they cut the engines that really freaked me out. I was looking at Ethan with a huge grin on my face and then the engines cut. I looked out the window to see if they were still there and the next thing I know, Ethan is gone! One by one I watched my friends jump out and my turn came up. Hands on my harnes, head up Ready! Set! Go! We did several flips and the feeling of nothing has to stand out the most. I knew that this was not going to be the last jump of mine. Later that night, we all camped out, the DZ was having a 70's party and that was a lot of fun. All of us walked up, name tags still on our shirts, and was given high 5's, drank Texas Tornado and I even did a little dancing. Great thread, it felt good to tell the story

If your looking for a good meal that's easy try this, make a box of mac n cheez as usual, brown some ground beef and buy a little can of this salsa/hot sauce. It's in the ethnic part of stores, its a real thin sauce. Mix it all together. Those frozen chicken kiev are real good too! Chris

Buy a honda civic or crx. I had a crx for 3 years and had to replace a clutch once and the muffler a couple times. Most reliable car in my opinion. Or, I just bought a Mitsiubishi Lancer OZ and its very nice. Not a quick as my little honda though. I don't really jump at SDC any more but I did learn to skydive there. I had lotsa fun but am very shy and had a hard time finding my niche. I will, however, be there this Saturday for at least one day of Summerfest to do some jumps and watch a buddy of mine do his first tandem after just getting out of the Army. I'll be wearing my Dropzone.com shirt...

I'm now officially banned from using the internet here at work which means I'll only be able to visit this site on the weekends from the PC at my DZ. I have 2 strikes against me and the 3rd is termination! I almost wish I'd get fired screw this place, but I need a job to skydive. The ban is the honor system (I hope there is no spies watching me post this right now) so hopefully I'll get on here every once in a while, it just pisses me off that I got a formal email saying all internet use must cease. You know the same thing happends to me. After a weekend of jumping my right ear stays clogged up and everything soulds muffled. Eventually it clears and but by that time I'm jumping again the next Saturday. I checked out the post Quade posted about the different ways of pressurizing you ears and I always plug my nose and blow which only temporarly does the trick. Sometimes if I do that to hard I get tunnel vision The left one is never a problem, just the right... Chris

What is the best solution if you have slinks and type 8 risers (2")? Would the slider fit over the risers or should I just let it stay there? Thanks in advance.. Chris

Even though today is Monday I still have an excuse. I broke!! After hearing about all the the recent events I put a new car on hold and ordered a Cypres, w/ my tax return, on Friday which only left me w/ $75 for jumping. I spent all of that on Saturday. Oh well, the weather is overcast and the 1st load on Sunday only went to 11,000. Today is even worse, I'm at work oh yeah and it's raining too.
