I've been given one of those. @ Chicagoland, we hired a new manifest lady & tandem master (package deal). They use to work @ Eloy & I think Perris before that. Anyway... they brought it to Hinckley early this spring. I think I left mine in a jacket pocket & now that it's cooling off here again - I can't wait to find my ball of happiness

Born in VA, moved to Oregon, back to a diff part of Va, to FL & now to Chicagoland area. Counting college I've been here 9 yrs - the longest of anywhere. But I've been trying to move for 4 years - call me scared. I too always wished & was basically jealous of people that grew up in basically the same area. Keeping a few friends since childhood & knowing ever street in almost every town w/ in 30 miles. However, it also amazes me that people don't leave. I couldn't imagine not traveling. I've been to 8 countries & am heading to the 9th tomorrow. I'm 100% jealous of Nacmacfeegle & his travels. Sorry for quoting myself. You are right Mjosparky. Working downtown Chicago, it is impossible to forget. Everyday I pass by the Sear's tower where they built blockades around the base, I see the Jewish Federation bldg w/ huge construction cinderblocks round the entire sidewalk. When I go into any bldg I have to show id... If you fly into Chicago, you now go around the city, never over it. I don't see any planes out my office window now. I talk w/ people every day that use to work in the WTC, they have been relocated to New Jersey. I was watching CNN live in my office w/ co-workers when it happened & promptly we all ran to our desks to call collegues in NY... we couldn't get through & were immediatly told to evacuate the bldg (just north of the Sears tower). Life will never be the same. There were many heros that day as there are many every day. Those of us here need to love life to the fullest. rejoice @ every day we have. Well, you have to be prepaired to go from about 10 to 80 mph w/ in a mile & then w/in 1/8th a mile back down to 10 - so I guess you would average 40 during rush hour. Yes, the end is near.. however, near is a relevant term. To us near is a few days, a week or perhaps a year. To history near is 1000 years. Which few people that voice their judgements use. It's when they put their judgement on you that it is offensive. seldom voice is the key here. There's a difference between judging & giving advice learned. Advice puts you on the same playing field, saying you've been through something one way or another & this is what you've learned. Now the person has theright to disregard that advice or try it out. Judgment comes not necessairly from experience but from a sense of self rightnousness. You know that the person in question is in the wrong - not just doing something they are unaware of - and you being the superior being are there to point it out to them. You are giving a ruling on their life or actions. Much more can be learned from an advisor than from a judge. They call lawyers advisors because they take your circumstances & word it to the judge in a manner they think will most benefit you, the client; before the judge passes a ruling.
