  1. but given altitude, still worth a try eh? IF someone could actually hold on through opening shock, I imagine it would be possible to survive the landing, but a body could be easily broken in such a situation.

    Can it rain mud?

I live in the NW and I've never heard of raining mud, a friend from Spokane is saying that it was raining mud for like, an hour
  3. There are two people I'd do anything for: my father and my best friend. Everyone else is on there own unless I feel like helping out.

    Can it rain mud?

How is that possible? Is it just when there's a lot of crap in the air like smog and dust and stuff?
  5. Michelle Branch? Or Feeder or Thursday? Ok, it's not michelle branch according to the lyrics you've provided
  6. Nor would it here at K-pow, but I think we all know why
  7. You wouldn't happen to have family in Oregon would you? I doubt it, but Michalek I wouldn't think is a real popular name and we have a Michalek family out here... I hear there may be a DZ.com Perverts Naked Cross Country jump still haven't decided if I'll join in on that one as I am a fat bastard
  8. a hard opening like that, believe it or not, is a malfuntion. Parachutes are not meant to open that hard, and you should always inform your instructors of anything you think is isn't the way it's supposed to be. That's what they're there for. It could have been your body position on opening, or it could have been packing error. Either way, tell your instructor(s) when you see them next. If it was body position (which I'm told most of the time it is), they can help you to remain in a proper belly to earth position during deployment. Sometimes newer students (I did this), will either wind up in a more head up or head down position when they pull, increasing fall rate.
  9. He must have attached his main backwards and packed it, and was just too lazy to fix it, so put the rig on backwards. Simple.
  10. When I was first learning tracking, well...I was terrible but I also wasn't "heads up" enough to know which way was the line of flight after exiting the plane...so I really didn't know which was I was tracking . I ended up tracking about 100ft under an RW group and I didn't even know it . All went well though and I got a good bitching at by an ex-Golden Knight . He's a pretty cool guy and decided not to skin me alive and I learned my lesson too
  11. ... and Oregon blah.

  15. I think you'll feel the same about Kapowsin. I think it's a little bigger than Toledo, but it's still a small DZ with a cool crowd. I've been meaning to check out some of the smaller DZ's around oregon and washington, but I still don't have my license yet, so I don't wanna go through all the trouble. I'm gonna be at kapowsin from next thursday until sunday if you wanna stop by
  16. I jump at kapowsin. It's quite a drive, but I like the DZ
  17. Yep, I'm here in portland. Just got off work, I get to go back at 9:30.

    The word "Sex"

has been mentioned about 6,000 times between october 21st of last year and now. That's 16 "sex's" per day or about 1 "sex" per 1.5 hours on average.
  23. But what happens when those wear out? I'll need something to fall back on.
  24. I played soccer when I was in grade school, and would have continued in middle/high school but I moved into a VERY high hispanic population town...I don't even think the coaches spoke english. I lost interest for a long time, but I recently watched a Worl Cup game USA vs. N. Korea, and then USA vs. Germany. Now my interest is renewed. Oh by the way, that was womens soccer...I don't think I would be as interested in mens....
