  1. Nope, I don't think I've seen any Black licensed skydivers at any of the DZ's I've been too, and I RARELY see Black tandems. It's too bad, they're all missing out! Welcome to our sport P.S. you might want to separate your signiture from your posts with at least a couple spaces, before AggieDave gets on your case
  2. Joshua Hendricks Portland Area, Oregon Age: 18 Occupation: Manufacturing, I work for a company that builds high end circuit boards for things like satellites and telecommunications. More specifically I'm a printer, I take a negative image of each layer of the circuit board and transfer that image to a sheet of laminated copper. This is done in a cleanroom so I wear a bunny suit for 12 hours , and the environment is carefully maintained at 68 degrees and 50% humidity
  3. Wow, absolutely no one on my buddy list is online. I need to get some skydivers on there. The only ones I have are Daizey, Wrongway and FreeFlyGoddess and I very very rarely get to talk to the latter two. I - Am - So - Bored I also have to go to work tomorrow at 6am
  4. Hasn't anyone noticed that he didn't even pull!!!! Must have lost altitude awareness, good thing he had a CYPRES
  5. Hmmm, sucks that you've had so many problems with sony walkman products, cause i just got mine to send an mp3 downloaded from Kazaa to the player with the software that came with it. I think I'll probably have problems over time though, theres some significant anti piracy and I'm too scared to connect my pc to the internet while I'm sending music to the player
  6. Ok so I just bought this sony MD walkman thing and the software is anti-piracy and such and wont let me send just any ole mp3 from my harddrive to the walkman, it wants to take the songs directly from a CD or music drive through a check in/out process to avoid anti-piracy. Does anyone know any other software I can install that will let me send anything I want to the player?

I've never seen my camera grow and change it's own batteries

    The Matrix Sucks

perpetual motion, something that just keeps its self going, forever, with no intereference from another source, it's not possible because there is always energy lost in movement, or heat, and something has to replenish that lost energy (i.e. and outside source, battery change, solar power etc).

But isn't Xion and the whole machines keeping the humans alive just another sub-routine to keep The One happy?

    The Matrix Sucks

Huh, physics? What does that have to do with throwing people through walls one handed, and leaping from building to building, and flying, and catching a falling person while traveling 200mph through the air, and...and...ok, you're right...
  12. Cool vid, but much of Robs work in that video was also used in Good Stuff, so if you have Good Stuff, you're not missing anything
  13. We have perfectly clear blue skies here in Portland, OR, and my new job rocks! I work Sun-tues and Sun-Wed alternating weeks, so I will ALWAYS be able to go to the DZ, weather permitting

    Hot or Not?

    That picture is desktop worthy
  15. 120mph = 176ft/s The first 1K ft takes approximately 10-12 seconds, then every 1K ft after that takes approximately 5.5 seconds. T = Freefall Time E = Exit Altitude (i.e. 3 or 10 or 13 etc.) P = Pull Altitude (i.e. 3 or 10 or 13 etc.) T = ((E - P) - 1) * 5.5 + 10
  16. I'm still a youngin' at 18 but No I have never done anything like rip off my dad on my car payments. I made all my payments in full on time. While my home responsibilities are lacking, that has always been the case. I've tried to be better at doing chores and it just doesn't work. That's about the worst of it. I have had 1 speeding ticket that would have been nulled if I had had time to go to court in the next state over where it was made. I feel that unless bad behavior is somewhat corrected early, that mindset will stick with the person for a long time
  17. I know I'm only 18...but I'm NEVER having kids...too much to handle... About the tickets...chalk that up to bad luck. Most people drive nearly the same, we speed from time to time, shit happens, I know I have run a light or two in the past because of either bad road conditions, or someone tailgating me and I wasn't too interested in being rear ended. If she just...didn't see the light...that's not good...and I drove my friends all the time on my restricted license. For the most part, she is the reason why people like me don't get tickets...we're right behind her so she gets caught first The grades thing is fairly normal. Thats about the time I started screwing up my grades, I pulled out of that (barely). The snowboarding thing, sounds like she needs to learn a bit more responsibility with money. Let her have her fun today...then smack her down with restrictions. But do it lightly, if that makes any sense. When my dad would try and be heavy handed, I didn't respect him at all, and really didn't abide by his restrictions. But when he was cool about it, and treated me more like his best friend than his evil devil child, I respected that. Basically, instead of making her cry because of the grounding, ground her and tear up in the process to really impress how dissapointed you are. That will get us every time...there's nothing worse than making your mom cry.... Long story short, yes it's normal for most of us youngin's. So don't be afraid to hit her below the belt
  18. I'm also 250 lbs at 5'9" and yes I've had a few uncomfortable openings. Are you 250 with or without gear? With gear you shouldn't be having these rough openings, but I'm assuming that it's without gear. Let the DZ know that your openings aren't feeling too great. Some of the things you can do to help yourself are sinching down the leg straps and tighten the chest strap so that you have only the slack that you need, so that the shoulder straps sit square over your shoulders and don't move too much. Now, the BEST way to help yourself, is to drop 10-20 lbs. Seriously, 10 lbs makes SOOOOO much difference. My openings now are so comfortable it's really incredible how much the openings changed. Also, get as big as you can before pitching without messing with your stability so that you can slow yourself down as much as possible. Again, make sure that your instructors are aware of your problems. If you could use some good pointers on how to drop some lbs, send me a PM and I'll see if I can't help you out. Right now I'm down to 240 from 275 in August. I'd be more than happy to help ya out.
  19. Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout! And I'm glad you're not just getting the piercing to get the piercing. But I'm certainly not going to try and talk to you about piercings as I have non and you have a bunch. I'm a piercing whuffo so yeah. I think the below the lip piercings look fantastic
  20. You got me all wrong, I think tongue rings and lip rings are awesome and really fun. Just don't put metal through the kissing part of your lip! Actually, seriously don't listen to me, do what you want and what makes you happy. My personal oppinion is that your lips are probably absolutly perfect the way they are, and adding metal to them will just detract from the experience. Btw, attached is the original pic you posted minus the red eye. It's sort of a messy job, but I did the best I could with my limited knowlege of PS
