  1. Get well soon! Glad no negative repercussions happened due to your appendix rupturing before they were able to remove it.
  2. wow! How did you get a Beagle and a Dachshund together?? Somebody had to hold very still! I have a half dachshund and half Jack Russell Terrior - now that is a little more do-able! Enjoy your Beagle and whatever you do - run him and don't over feed him!
  3. I've got family and friends in upper Michigan. Great place to visit in June, July & August! Hope your winter ends soon and you get in the air.
  4. Ouch! Static line under a round! Sounds like a rough landing no matter what. Hope that is behind you and the fun side of skydiving is ahead. Wishing you blue skies and soft landings.
  5. Let us know how the jumps go! Enjoy
  6. Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello! There - now that that is over with - give us a topic to discuss/argue about! I haven't been posting long myself, but dang if I can ever come up with something to start a chat about!
  7. Josh: Welcome to skydiving! What a great wife! Have you run into an Eric B. at your DZ?
  8. My regards and regrets to hear the news of Charley. Your photo's show that he was well taken care of and loved very much. I miss the dogs I have had and lost from early childhood to now, but each one has been an important part of my life. I now have two dogs, Spider who stays home and guards the house, and Little King Tut who goes to work with me each morning. Pets will always hold a close spot in my heart. Saying that Charley was your best friend tells all - having him, knowing him was worth all the loss you now experience.
  9. I guess east coast counts different from west coast!
  10. Damn those pencil pushing, key clacking no goods! I bet they are lacking a night of nookie or two and taking it out on the soldiers!
  11. 0:3:3 0 jumps on Friday 3 jumps on Saturday 3 jumps on Sunday
  12. Prayers are on the way. I have many friends over in sandland. Thank him for going when you get the chance.
  13. If this is your first suit and your home DZ has multiple discipline of skydiving, go with a RW suit. Tony has a great suit - if you can get it to fit. If it doesn't fit - good luck. "How fast do you want it?" Tony Suits take about 6 - 8 weeks for delivery. Bev makes an even better suit for the ladies. Bev is the best if you need to slow down. She has a great 3 inch or 4 inch wing to help you out - her swoop cord system is my favorite if you reallllly need to slow down. Delivery 8 weeks, unless you pay extra. Michigan Suits are my overall favorite for the ladies. Mike does a great fit . He can slow you down or help you pick up the pace. 3 -4 weeks for delivery. Good luck with your decision!
  14. I've watched just enough to know to not waste any more of my time. I prefer much more important things like reading dropzone.com
  15. Niether! That is without more information from you. RW or Freefly? Do you need to speed up or slow down in freefall? How fast do you want it?
  16. Ouch!! Hope you had your seat belt on!
  17. 0:3:3 A great weekend - CASA - Twin Otter - 13 to 16 ways!! I'm in heaven, I'm in heaven, I'm in heaven
  18. What can I say, I'm speechless......I have so much to look forward to when I become an addict.... some day!
  19. 1 - we have a bigger wallet or willing to give up a few other things to be able to afford skydiving 2 - we are not tied down by a spouse, relationship or fear of leaving a child to stop us 3 - fear, we have no fear, just lots of adrenaline!!
  20. Congrats! Welcome to skydiving! I'm sure you will enjoy Sebastian, but don't plan on just Sebastian 3 times a year. There are many great drop zones in the US, many up and down the east coast if travel is easy for you there. I'm curious - why did you pick Sebastian to do your AFF?
  21. Congrats Suzie! I'm sure you will enjoy it. Just keep a very very very close eye on that nasty four letter word you used - LOAN - Make sure you are ready for the financial end of skydiving before you get in tooooooo deep and can't dig your way out! It's one thing not to buy a new car or maybe a few less trips to the movie theatre. I think I sold most of my scuba diving equipment when I got hooked to help with my expenses. But remember - enjoy it - don't let the $ add a stressor in your life!
  22. North Carolina has been equally terrible for weather. Raeford had almost two weeks without a bird flying!! Enjoy your night jump!
  23. Thanks for the tip! Raeford Parachute Center is doing a Skydiving History weekend in July - a tribute to Bill Ottley, etc. It will give me a few more resources.
