Maybe he just didn't want to see her in a bikini. And Instead of saying, "you look gross in a bikini", he was nice and said it was a family oriented dz.

Here's a little video of the new pond at spaceland. The pond is only about a third of the way full. Winds were a little shifty. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrhaNBxXR2E And a picture of the pond before water was added.

Both are good in their own ways. I would call both and see who will give you the best deal. -
Check out SkydiveSpaceland.com. We will be hosting the USPA Nationals this year, From October 12th to the 25th. To answer some of your questions- -We have rental gear from 150 to 300 in Javelins and Mirage's. Sabre's, Sabre2's, and Navigators. You most likely will be able to rent for the whole day and pack for yourself but a packer must pack it at the end of the day. -Weather is good in Oct. It better be with Nationals going on. -For Hotels the nearest ones are about 15 to 20 minutes away. Or we have one small bunkhouse and one house that has bunkrooms in it. -For canopy control we have coaches here to suit every need. -For stuff to do off the DZ. Houston has tons to do. Gavleston has the beach, surfing, amusement park. Alligator Park 10 miles from Dz. Also Swoop Week follows Nationals. All the top canopy pilots in the US will be here.

Friday- April 24, 2009- One load this morning, looked pretty good for over 12 hours between jumps. Good little party tonight. I saw some outoftowners dancing around in mexican gear.
-
TSR- Day 2- Thursday April 23,2000- First 166way took off around 8:30 or so. Good attempt for first jump. Wind hold until about 5:30pm. Second 166way looked better than the first but I heard the formation was really moving around, maybe 15 to 20 out 7 am call for tomorrow morning. Sounds like they're going to try to get up to loads before the winds arrive.
-
I thought I heard 166 but maybe it's 160. Either way it's going to be big.
-
Wednesday April 22- Today was first day of jumping. A few 60 ways and a few 40ways jumped all day. Tomorrow morning is a 8am call for the first 166way.
-
There is better things to do on 4/20. See ya in October for Nationals.
-
Yep and you can fit two more jumpers in it.
-
I think I even saw a caravan with just a 6way on it. That must of sucked.

Here's a few clips I have of the Beaver and it's roar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1-ZJ1wv0HI

Change of ownership. I thought the same when I first saw it too. But got info from a jumper that works at Whip Air were the rebuild was done.

For anyone who ever jumped the Beaver at Baldwin, Here's what it looks like now.

Surfside is about 30 min away from Spaceland, I surf there. You can kite there but it's more of a surf spot. The Kite beach is in texas city on galviston bay. It is about 40 minutes from the dz. We have about 4 kiters on Staff here at Spaceland. Check with the guys at xlkites.com for any gear needs. Oh by the way Spaceland flies 7 days a week and we have 4 Otters, 1 caravan, and 1 pac. Check it out. www.skydivespaceland.com
