Skydive San Marcos has just taken delivery of their new Otter and to celebrate will be charging $13 dollars a slot. Right now there a 5 wingsuits scheduled to be there - we would love to at least double that number First flight courses will be held also - if interested PM me and we can set it up. I will have to try and fit you with a suit - smaller bodies will be hard to fit (5'5" and smaller ) average to bigger will be covered no problem. Looking at pictures from months ago and ones that just showed up on Phoenix-fly.com it appears that the leg wing has changed - 1. the leg wing design (dacron) originally was a triangle and looked to be a foot long. 2. Now the leg wing design (dacron) looks like a flared out triangle and it appears to be shorter. Can anyone shed any light on this matter you have to look close to see it. my guess would be flying at stall speeds which may be due to you flying head high and losing the forward drive, stall speed can be slower if the forward drive is still high. Maybe try flying with your head looking down more instead of looking at the horizon so much this can cause more of a head low attitude and build forward speed without sacraficing lift - I maybe wrong but its a thought Jason The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

The order was sent in this morning now we just have to wait - and just so you know we will be the premier Vampire V-1 DZ in the state of Texas We used to be the premier wingsuit DZ but those damn Waller folks and their big turbine DZ I think a wingsuit weekend at Skydive Houston is in the works for the first weekend in March if anyone is interested. Clint I did everything I could to keep you safe on your first wingsuit jump and you can't even spell my name right---its VOODEW I think you did pretty well on that jump but I couldn't see you it was so dark. I am glad you enjoyed / survived it - next time we will load the suit with chem lites so I can try to find you in the sky I never did ask you what the protrack recorded. maybe if you attached it directly to your aorta -- its a run capacitor not a DC Bus out of a VFD. The run cap simulates 3 phase power to allow the motor to start and run with out overamping - by you saying that you have to spin it to start the motor and than it runs is what leads me to believe it is the run capacitor. The motor more than likely is to small to have a start capacitor and if it needed one you need a new motor. Warning don't lick a charged capacitor it will shock the fuck out of your tongue but it won't kill you. The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

sounds like the run capacitor to me - but some motors don't have capacitors and if it does without a meter you can't tell if it is bad unless it is swollen. A run capacitor is problably about $7 at a A/C or heating supply house. The capacitor will be either round or oval with electrical connections on the end more than likely with brown wires going to it. It will probably be gray plastic if round or shiny metal if oval. This response is not directed towards anyone inparticular. While everyone is trashing this device think of the benefits of being able to fine tune and I mean FINE tune body position as to allow greatest forward speed and slow vertcal decent as much as possible. I realize that this can be felt but I think you could maximize more if you were able to see vertical decent and forward speed without changing body position to look.
