So cool!! Im getting a bit obsessed with the whole backpacking thing Im doing a few shorter trips and then hopefully a big chunk of the JMT in Ca. Soon as the snow melts around here Im gonna put some of this new gear to test Gonna check out the link you posted, see what ya got goin on Have fun!! Im pretty satisfied with what I paid for a few kinda large (for me) purchases being as they were on sale at the time, internal frame (kelty) backpack and a decent day pack (also a kelty), light weight tent, water system, some clothes, and some misc. crap. Im new in the backpacking deal and like I said, so far Im satisfied with REI's prices with the sales. Now I just need a little LESS snow in the Southern Sierra's ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

I dont know that mine will be too awfully much $$, I did buy a ton of shit there this year but most was stuff on sale so I dont think it qualifies for the dividend. Been doin the backpacking thing and soon getting a dog to hopefully go with, been poking around on the internet and had no idea trails were so restrictive for dogs. I remember some pics you posted from a trip I think last year and I believe you had yours with you, wondering if you had any problems?? Battened down here already and waiting for the punch. Wonder which weather guru will be the most accurate. I've read everything from dry to 8 inches, with snow expected as low as 3,000' perhaps. ltdiver There's going be a mess on the I-8 and the 5. this is more than someone just spitting out the window. Guess I'll be gearing up the 4x4 today, been pretty much a no show for winter up on the Grapevine and area mountain communities so far with just one shut down as of yet....does make work "interesting" though ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

Been a year, ready to get back in the air so broke out the rig to take it in for a repack. There was a mouse living under the container. A found some cotton(?) and a pile of dry dog food. Just this past 2 weeks found out sumpin's been getting into the bag of dry dog food so set and trapped 2 of the little bastards so far. Didnt find any damage on the outside of the container and let my rigger know so it will be checked out at repack. This coulda sucked reeeeally bad!! ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

I drive a lot at night. Yeah, you can see great, and so much safer for you. But ya know, Im getting tired of having to look someplace other than the road in front of me because I cant fucking SEE!!!
