    Actually theres several Worked one called "Enviro-somethingorother" (sorry)that starts and finishes at Furnace Creek. It was about 3 or 4 months ago. Temp was mid-eighties so not too bad. There are a couple of bicycle races too.     The company I work for (ambulance) is out of Ridgecrest, about 100 miles away, and Death Valley is part of our response area. I've done standby's for marathon's there, and will be working the one coming up from Mt. Whitney --> Death Valley. Now THATS some crazy shit!!! Yep, thats definately a beautiful place.     Damn, you got the "asshole" part right, shoulda let you know Roadtrips put on hold, doin Paramedic school, I take the entrance exam on the 11th. We were going to do it in July because of Ol' girls schedule as a teacher. That whole trip's put on hold until all the internship and crap is done, at least a year. Every so often I see one of them blue Melton trucks and look for "Jumper" on the door. Seems its always goin up the Tehachapi grade.     Tossing computers in the dump is not the correct way to dispose of them. Taking them to a hazardous waste center is. The lead and other really nasty chemicals will break down and try to seep into the local soil and water supplies in a dump. ------------------------------------------------------------ Im under the (mistaken?) impression that when stuff like that is seperated from the main garbage dump area that it is done so that it can be disposed of properly. Hmm, guess I can find out when I go there. The girlfriend has already suggested I donate the monitor and keyboard and crap, I'll just see if they want the rest (minus the hard drive). dropdeded ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -

    Im doin a dump run and theres a big ass pile of old computer stuff. Im pretty sure thats the correct way to dispose of em. As far as erasing the hard drive, well, no reason to toss all that personal info out into the world.     3. you say I don't smoke when offered, NOT I'm giving up. ===================================== and say it to yourself. I smoked for 25 years. "Tried" quiting a few times, that dont work. I quit cold turkey, yeah it sucked for awhile, probably no matter how its done you are still gonna want one. I wanted to smoke for quite awhile, hell still do sometimes, BUT I DONT SMOKE, Been about 3 years now.     Girlfriend had a scar almost 3 inches. Actually not quite healed (mistake). Called me the other day and said she was getting a tat of her kids names over it (already in the chair). Uh, crap, ok. Saw it yesterday, looks like a freekin 3rd grader did it Names are cursive right over the scar (will change with healing), and theres a big ass round ugly heart under the names. In no way feminine or pretty. I want to take her to a decent place and have a decent ARTIST fix it up.
