    Hey! I just moved from Birmingham last weekend but I lived there for 4 years. My home dz is Skydive Alabama in Cullman. It's about an hour north on I-65.     Ok, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a kickass boogie sometime in October or November. Anyone know of anything around that time? I know CSS has the Thanksgiving Boogie and then there's then Mullin's Halloween Boogie. What else is going on that I don't know about? Anything fun in Ca, Az, or Fl... or wherever? Pink Mafia Sis #26

    I ran across a government site a long time ago that had some info like this. As I recall it had something listed about 2 hundred something fatalities per 1 million car rides (I don't think it was listed in miles). I wonder if someone could find it. I'm sure it's been updated & is floating around the web somewhere. The site had all kinds of different activities listed... like commercial plane trips, skiing, smoking, parachuting activites (not specifically skydiving), using an unvented space heater, eating peanut butter, etc. It was interesting. I wish I had bookmarked the site . edit: ok I just emailed my old Risk Assessment professor about the website. Hopefully he still has it somewhere. I'll keep you posted. Pink Mafia Sis #26

    That doesn't make much sense. You'd need to compare the deaths per exposures. example: Number of fatalities per 1 million skydives and Number of fatalities per 1 million car rides. That would give you numbers you can use. Pink Mafia Sis #26

    I'm supposed to have my pin tested this weekend (I assumed it was affected since I bought my rig from Mirage around Sep/Oct of last year). Out of curiosity I just looked at the numbers on the soft handle label and they say this: P/N SH01-25 and S/N MOO5353 The service bulletin says Does this mean mine is not affected or am I just looking at the wrong thing? ~Sam Pink Mafia Sis #26

    Skydive Alabama, located in Cullman, will be having $12 King Air jumps all weekend on the 26th and 27th of this month for all experienced jumpers. No boogie fee, no minimums and no maximums... just $12 jumps all weekend. And as always the beer is free... See you there! Also, we will be doing CRW jumps this Sunday the 20th. We had a 7 stack a couple of weekends ago and are looking to continue building on that. Anybody that's got some CRW experience with their regular canopies and want to come, contact the DZ. We just need at least a 9 stack for a state record. If you have a CRW canopy, that's a plus. Pink Mafia Sis #26
