    Withdrawal

Scenario ? If you're taking OxyContin, you're taking it by mouth. I'm interested in how it progressed to addiction without a patient's awareness of or agreement to taking that medication. When you took it, didn't you know what you were taking? Did you make a choice to take it or not? Was it a step down from what you were taking before or what? I'm curious and interested. I may find myself trying to manage someone's pain one day who may not want his pain managed..... Good to know about how it's gone down for other folks. Know what I mean? linz When you're in pain, and the doc prescribes you oxycontin, dilaudid or hydromorph contin, for pain control, you usually do what the doc says, and take the drugs at the prescribed interval. I mean, who am i to question the doc's judgement? You have no mean of knowing the effects of a drug, until the time it is prescribed to you, and you take it for some time. When you're in pain, if a drug does not kill you, you just figure it's OK to take it, and the last thing you do, is question your doc's judgement, even if the drug is to be taken by mouth... Yves.

    Withdrawal

Oxycontin and Hydromorph contin are two powerful opioids (morphine) derivatives, that can lead to severe addiction. Withdrawal syndrom can be significant if you stop taking the drug cold turkey style. The physician should always decrease the dose, gradually, in order to minimize the withdrawal syndrom. http://www.palliative.org/PC/ClinicalInfo/PCareTips/ISSUE%2017.pdf Yves.

  12. I went to Lake Wales in december 2002/january 2003, and had a blast. To me, Lake Wales was the perfect DZ. A large landing area, a large hangar, large packing area, friendly staff and relaxed ambiance... It's sad to hear things have changed... For sure that damn hurricane didn't help... Betty Kabeller surely was the driving force of the DZ... Yves.

  14. My brother has Multiple Myeloma cancer. He's been fighting the disease, since october 2004. As soon as a compatible donor is found, he'll undergo a bone marrow graft, which, hopefully, will help save his life.

  18. My personal recipe is quite simple. If i'm grilling whole salmon, sometimes i use a cedar grilling plank, and sometimes, i'm using this:http://www.fantes.com/images/120193barbecue.jpg This little tool is really helpful in grilling all kind of fish. I use a fresh whole salmon, i rub it very lightly with roasted garlic and olive oil, so the fish won't stick to the grilling basket. I then put the garlic in, as well as 6 or 7 slices of lemon, inside the salmon. Then i put a little of Mrs Dash lemon and herb seasoning, inside the fish. Delicious. Yves.
