  1. Why not Chris? I'd be surprised to see a place that has more snow than we have here, right now. So far, we've had 356cm total accumulation, only 6cm short of the 1966 record. If the trend continues, we would get over 5m of snow for the 2007-2008 winter. That's a lot of white shit. Yves. You can keep it there. I'll take the -40 we get most of the winter over having to shovel THAT much snow thankyouverymuch. The lowest temperature we got this winter was about -25. Fortunately, the snow adds insulation to the house, and, so far, I figure I'll spend about 15 - 20% less on heating costs.

  7. On the contrary. They are more harmful to the environment, as they contain mercury, which is a highly toxic metal. Once their useful life is over, you throw them in the garbage. These fluorescent bulbs are not recycled everywhere. And even at the place where they collect them for recycling, they, too, throw them in a recycle bin, and, guess what.... the glass bulb breaks, and the mercury is spilled... When you throw them in the garbage, the glass bulb breaks, and the mercury is spilled...... Whatever you do with them, recycle or garbage, the mercury get spilled. Yes you will save on your utility bill, but these fluorescent bulbs are definitely ''not so environmentally friendly'' Yves.
