  1. Bwahaahahaha!!!! SHHH!! Don't tell anyone about the voices!
  2. Yep, as Dave said, lots of threads, tons of good info. The ringing might have been just a side effect of the pressure changes and noise. Should go away soon. If it does not, see a doctor. It might be signs of a more serious problem. It sure sucks hearing that damn sound in your ears all the time......

    territorial?

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Just try to keep a good attitude and don't give up. Good luck!!
  4. Once school starts up in a couple of weeks, about 10-15 minutes to Skydive Aggieland.
  5. Gee Wiz Dave, I'll teach you how to tie your shoes properly, again, when I see ya in a week.
  6. Bills are overrated. I'm sure they will leave you alone when you stop paying.
  7. I like my keyboard just fine. I keep it clean, well because, I'm anal about such things. My parents keyboard, good grief, I won't go near that thing without gloves and a disinfectant bottle. YUCK!
  8. Yep, that he did. Deleting post...
  9. Question: Hang it in the sun? I've always been told to avoid sun exposure.
  10. Head colds and jumping go together like a turd in a punchbowl. Being serious here, you might be ok after tomorrows jumping, or you might blow out an eardrum. Just too risky IMHO. Sit out tomorrow, get well and then jump your ass off. Don't worry, the sky will still be there next weekend.

    Freefly Pants

I was very impressed with the workmanship of my freefly pants. They look great and fly well. All stitching is very neat and secure. However, they are very slow with delivery times. I waited four and a half months for delivery of my pants. After a couple of months I had to return them for a small alteration (the waist was a little too large). I finally got the pants back after two months and a few phone calls and numerous emails. When I look into another jumpsuit, I will look elsewhere.
  12. Saw the video of that one. That was one laid back kid. Didn't look skered at all.
  13. I never thought about it until I was around 15. Coming through Beaumont, Texas one day I saw some parachutes in the air and thought that might be fun. Made plans when I was 18 to make that first jump. 4 days after my 18th birthday I made that jump. Lack of money kept me away for 4 years and summer of 2001 I started up again.

  15. Could it be said then that the religious folks only "see it" because that is what they focus on? They focus on what they want to see and block out anything that doesn't fit their view? This argument could be used both ways.
  16. Strange, once I sign in, I'm signed in until I close the browser window.
  17. I like the pull shirt. I like the "jumps from perfectly good airplanes" shirt too from the GoWear site.
  18. Grounded too. Complete lack of funds. I have never been so broke. *Pulls out logbook* Last jump: April 26. Next jump will be Aug. 27, hopefully. Assuming the student loans (and refund checks) go through as they are supposed to.
  19. Hey Karin, whats up?? It's Lynn. Ya back in College Station yet? See ya when school starts up.
  20. Yep, just wanted a piece of this PW'ing too. Whatever topic ya want, I'm game....
  21. I'm in the same boat here. I have a OLD racer, built in 1989. Pros: It is sooooooo comfortable. Cons: (1)Velcro. I HATE velcro now. I don't have a problem with the velcro riser covers but the velcro down the sides of the reserve suck. It takes too much time and effort to secure your risers into place. (2)Older ones usually aren't really freefly friendly. There is sometimes too much exposed bridle between the right flap and the BOC. Almost had a problem on one of my first sitfly jumps. Reached back to throw out, and felt lots of bridle just flapping in the breeze. After that, I've been on my belly with no problems. Here's a bit more info on racers and riggers for those interested. I personally haven't had any problems with riggers and my racer. As you can see, cons outweigh pros. I like my racer as long as I'm on my belly. However, I probably won't be buying another racer when I'm ready for that second rig.
