I don't how another dropzone may handle that, but your jump log should also list all that you did on each jump. I know mine did and the A card was filled out towards the end. Even though you DZ is closed is there any way to get with your instructors? *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

Welcome and good luck on your future jumps. You might want to check out Dropzones on this site. Locate the nearest dropzone and give them a call as well as post another thread asking for jumpers from that Dropzone. Everyone here seems to be more then glad to help out one another. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

Welcome back into the sport. So technically one of your kids has done a tandem jump. I can't wait till spring myself. May try to get out this weekend if the weather stays above freezing and the winds don't get too high. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? I spent some time with a team down in Haiti. Did you happen to get a chance to go down there at all? *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

That sounds so cool to share something so neat. They had a deal on TV the other day where a TV show pretended that it was a game show with a couple. The guy did a tandem a head of his girl friend. He had a special banner made up for her which he open it up after he landed so she could read it from the sky. Then took off his jumpsuit which he was wearing a Tux under it. Had a flower arrangement and proposed to her after she landed. Definintly something they will share forever. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? It sounds like you are putting the student first at your DZ. Everyone is different but the goal is the the same, become a safe license skydiver. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

S/L versus AFF? The end result is the same both will get you your A license. The biggest different is the cost. AFF offers you to chance to jump from 13000 ft from the start and go directly into free fall. So by the time you get your A license you will have a lot more free fall time then that of a student in S/L progression. But each jump you do in the beginning requires two instructors and then down to one. That increases the cost of jumps. S/L which is the one I ended up doing was a lot more affordable for someone on a limited budget. Next catch to doing S/L is not all dropzones offer it. I don't think it is because it is out dated but they make more money from the AFF and as far as that goes a dropzone is a business and they have to make money to keep it open for all of us to have a place to jump. Back to S/L progression though. Each slowly builds off of the last one, increase the height of the jump and length of the free fall. As far as mixing them together. It is possible to start one and then switch to the other. The SIM (Skydiving Instruction Manual) list what must be done if you switch. Good luck and have fun. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

Steve, How is it going? Went to Arabic language school with a Cpt, I think was out of Kansas. Did you switch groups after they deactivated the reserve SF? Our you part of the SF association out of Kansas City? I belong to Chapter 27 out of St. Louis. Retired myself in July,2000 *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? I was lucky most of the time when we jumped we did tailgate jumps. I didn't care too much for waddling to the door and try to get a good exit. Tailgate all you had to do was get to the end of the tailgate and fall. Nothing like having an 80 pound ruck hanging from you. Worse yet, being packed like sardines with yours and another jumpers ruck on your lap as well as the safety walking over the top of them. Always happy to see the door open! *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

I was tempted to stop by there in October, but only spent a day there and visited old team mates. Would be nice to jump a square there though. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

Welcome to the forum. My last military jump was done out of Raeford DZ. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

Was happy to complete the jumpmaster course also. Nothing like the feeling of looking out into the dark and sending other paratroopers out the door as well as going out yourself. I graduated JM course in 1995. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

Welcome to skydiving and I would venture to say we all can't wait till spring. It would be great if both you and your hubby get into the sport together. At my dropzone there are a small handful of family members jumping together. Myself presently trying to get my brother involved. My daughter will jump on her 18th birthday late this year. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

Welcome to the forum also. I am a former 3rd Grouper myself. Spent my time in 1st Bn. and have a handfull of friends that are still there. I was there back in Oct visiting some old friends. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

There isn't much comparison between the round and the square chutes. Although since I haven't reached my B license yet, I do miss the night jumps. That is something I'm looking forward to in the future. I spent 9 years out of Ft. Bragg, mostly with 3rd Group and a few with SWC. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Congratulation on your tandem jump. I think you'll find most around the drop zone are friendly and eager to talk about skydiving. Just start hanging out there and introduce yourself if somebody doesn't intro themselve. Good luck and Have fun. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Welcome. Good luck on convincing your husband to stay on the ground while you jump to catch up. How many do you have to do to catch up? *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

I was stationed out of Bragg from 1991 to 2000 and have made few military jumps out of Raeford. A matter of fact that is where I did my last military jump. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****

Welcome aboard. Understand the feeling. I work outside and all I do is look at the sky wishing I was jumping. *****Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane? Because it isn't much fun if it's broke.****
