I think you might have missed the point here... It's all about the intention of the person behind the gun. There are a vast majority of people who own guns with ZERO intention of using it on another human being. Even police officers and the military favor peace over gunfire. The intention of some knives is to kill human beings. The intention of some piece of piano wire - out there, somewhere - is to kill another human being. There may be someone, right now, buying a gun (on the street - no registration, no paperwork, maybe even a homemade "zip" gun - with no ballistic fingerprint) for the exclusive purpose of killing another human being. Bottom line - I don't approve of knee-jerk reactions, and I hope this case doesn't provoke any. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

Can't the primary function of a gun be to feed a family? Can it not also be to protect? Maybe we should collect fingerprints of all the forks (they can be used for killing people, too), and knives, and especially pillows - I've seen people on TV killed with pillows (and know of an actual case where it was used to kill someone)... Oh, and hey - all pianos - cause people can be killed with piano wires... Let's not forget everyones gloves; My second "bare-handed" (that's what it's called in my circles) was actually done with gloves on. How about those pesky icicles people get killed with on occasion? We could organize a task force to go around and 3-dimensionally profile every icicle - in case one is used in a murder... The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

It's been done before - depends on how it's attached. Make sure you get the same voltage fan. They come in 12v and 5v varieties typically. I don't recommend an ass fan. Even a small one. They are usually 120vAC. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

The 5000 in parachutist was my camera. It makes very nice prints up to 8x10 (5 megapixel). My previous camera was the 990, which was actually almost as good. Image quality was only noticeable in the 8x10 sizes. Both use the DigiSnap controller from Harbortronics (harbortronics.com). I plan to retire the 5000 for a special application many of you will see in Rantoul next year. The way the D60 should drop with the new EOS 11 megapixel and the Kodak 14 megapixel, I'd certainly opt for the D60. I, and at least a few of the other Martini Shot flyers, are waiting for the D60 price drop because it is such a sweet camera. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

It's all about communication. In a "normal" CRW wrap, it's not a simple "bottom guy cuts away." All canopy wraps aren't a top/bottom. All wraps aren't the top guy wrapped in the bottom guys parachute with the bottom person dangling below. The are very few cut and dried rules when it comes to a wrap. Communication between both jumpers is the key. Where's our CRW moderator when you need her??? The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

Very nice summary JD... There is no substitute for actual skydives to open up your awareness. Flying should become second nature, before adding in the extra factors of a camera. If you have to think about how to fly, you don't have the bandwidth to recognize when something else might be "wrong." This is the root of why Tandem manufacturers made rules about jump numbers. I know that numbers aren't the only factor. There are jumpers with 200 jumps that are more aware than some with a thousand. This' the best guideline we have, though. Until someone comes up with a chart that takes more factors into account, we just have to play by the rules... The laws of physics are strictly enforced.

One of our packers (who's 34) was dating an 18 year-old local. A waitress at the place we all go to eat. Sweet girl, but quite nieve. I think he toned it down after she invited him to her high-school graduation. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.
