Heh, I know 4 that got married in the last month. 2 of them I did the ceremony, at the WFFC 1 wanted to honeymoon at the WFFC but couldn't, and one that ditched the WFFC to do it. Not sure about the engagements though.... Besides, Lisa, bozo said he'd marry ya! You keep your filthy hands off that one, Jim! I get to officiate THAT ceremony -- after I get done LMFAO! Bwahahaha! I don't disagree, sunny! That was actually 2 bucks less than Rantoul. But 2 bucks cheaper for real is a bunch different than the 6 bucks cheaper the Professor alluded to, and wasn't Summerfest the week before the WFFC? That means he was obviously using his block tix. If you're going to throw out prices, Professor, make sure you quantify HOW you got those prices. You and I both know that if I, or anyone else from the convention, were to walk into SDC and manifest a few jumps, it's NOT going to be $15 a jump. At least NOT on a weekend. IIRC, it's $20 a standard lift, $15 on Wednesdays, $17 if you prepay 50, and $15 if you prepay 100, and they must be used in one season... Correct me if I'm wrong... Oh, and as far as your grounds bashing, speak about what you see. They were quite clean this year. In fact, clean enough that I didn't really need to do much at all. There was a GREAT crew this year. Too bad most skydivers aren't like you and I though....we wouldn't even NEED a crew. I mean, c'mon, how hard is it to actually HIT the garbage cans? Quick Correction-the B-24 was pulled by the FAA (experimental) The B-17 is still legal. I had dinner with the crew in Indy a few days before the convention and they hated not being there but it's not possible to schedule it every year. It should be back next year. The Carvair was one for the log book and I even got it signed off by the jumpmaster (the one that gave us a good spot)

You know, a great deal of people are commenting about aircraft. that's not what it's about for me. It's not about the free beer either. I drank far more Corona this year than free stuff. It's about the vibe and the people's attitude in general. This was my fourth WFFC in Rantoul (yea, that's means all of them), and this time I had BY FAR the best time. Maybe it's because of alot of things, but I tend to believe that it's the simple fact that so many naysayers and negative people stayed away. Size aside, to be, this was the best convention in 5 years (everyone knows how bad '01 in Quincy was), and if it gets bigger again, fine, but don't change the tone... It's your life, live it!
