Yet another reason I regret not living closer to Skydive Chicago. I make house calls up here on a regular basis. One person has an old Pentium 266 laptop that runs browsers as fast as my 1.6Gig laptop, and another guy has a 2 gig desktop that, due to his online habits, I literally clean at least once every 2 weeks. There is hope for any system, even yours. The hard part is finding someone willing to sit down with you and show you how to keep it running smooth. It's your life, live it! Beth, I still think you are running the syware program that is actually spyware, not a real remover. This is the original of that software, not the bad one:http://www.lavasoft.com/ As far as Norton goes, Symantec is a huge company, and therefore a target, not to mention you get the privledge of paying for what many times is iffy protection and quite often is a great resource hog. I, among others here I have converted, swear at Norton all the time. We swear by Avast. www.avast.com which is FREE to home users, and damn good to boot. It's your life, live it! Good point. How about a new forum rule. If the majority agree a post is dumb, it gets locked, a new thread gets started with the poster's name specifically for personal attacks, and the person being attacked only gets read rights to the forum for a week, and never gets write rightsto the attack thread. I think cells are still stuck with triangulation, since they are, well, mobile. Vonage, since it's not mobile, had to conform to 911 standards, yet are not regulated like land lines, for now.
