Heh. I've been unemployed since just before the WFFC,in 2003. That's ok, I've got a goal for my life, for once. Being a poor student isn't that bad, and I even got an email from the campus IT department offering me a job. I'm thinking I just might take it, if for nothing else than to finally have a decent amount of jump money again. It's your life, live it! Sorry, Lori. What I meant was the reletively small price increase for a performance boost vs. other changes for the same performance increase. ie-different processor speed, ect. Or, you could get it and just buy an external firewire burner, as they are pretty cheap now, and can be used cross-platform. Wow, Yoshi, that's cheap! I looove my Averatec, loaded PC/Athlon M lappy, but had I seen that price when I got it, I might gone thought different! Sound like a sweet deal. Remember, always buy as much RAM as you can though. I agree that you can't, but pretty much every school district does. I'm going to college right now to be an educator, knowing the pay sucks. I didn't research the Replay one, but Tivo wouldn't let my record to a physical DVD disk for archive purposes. That's why I ended up getting a HDD/DVD recorder. I love ya like a brother, JP, even though I've never even met ya, but I need to disagree there. THIS is dz.com central. The physical locations are just that, physical locations. I've met hords of dz.commers all over this country, and I'm sure I'll meet more, but I've never been to Eloy. No particular DZ is dz.com central, that's why we have this website! If that was the case, what purpose would this site serve? It wouldn't be much more than a dz site with articles. I love this site because it's so much more than that, without making you feel as though you need to be from a certain place, or go to a certain place, to fit in. I'm sure Eloy is a nice place, but it's certainly not the skydiver's Mecca, that's for sure. If there is any such place, I'd say it's the WFFC, no matter where it's held. It's your life, live it! Longhorn? I've downloaded it but haven't installed it yet on one of my boxes. I think I need another before i do that... I installed it on my laptop, but then almost as quickly removed it. The support in it for dot net applications SUCKS, and that's what most of my college campus is built around. p.s. you MUST have a true 64 bit system, or it literally will not install. As of right now, trust me in saying it's not worth the trouble. It's a nice step in the right direction, but's it has a very long way to go before becoming a viable, and at least semi reliable, OS. Bingo. PPOe uses a single MAC addy (or at least EVERY one I've used. If you clone the addy to the Stormport, all should be well with the world. Sadly, this isn't an Apple problem, it's a dsl problem. (MAC addy for the Airport is on the label on the bottom, BTW). Every router I've worked with has a place to spoof the MAC address, though I certainly do not envy your position right now.
