Then you'll be glad to know I spent the summer smoking pot for the first time, doing acid and seeing Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, Buddy Guy, The Band, Janis Joplin and others...it was a great summer!! I spent the summer napping and running round half naked in my yard. Hmmm ... things haven't changed much in my world. 'Shell 'Shell

1984. Had the large tafetta pink dress for my grad. . I can't BELIEVE I wore that! Just found the pattern for the dress that my mom's friend made for me. I still have that dress. There's enough fabric there to blanket a small European country for the winter! 'Shell 'Shell

It's okay Murray ... I'm old too (maybe not as old as YOU but old too!) Why thanks for calling me a youngster! I just went and looked through one of the trunks and boxes ... holy crap do I have a lot of Beatles' stuff! Stuff I forgot I had!! Now, I wasn't around (well I was but I was in diapers for the early years) when the Beatles were big but I got into them through my friend's older brothers. I found some 45's from Apple Records, some 33's from Apple Records and four or 5 8-tracks too! Yep. I heart Limewire. I can get all that stuff I remember listening to when life was "easier". Hmm ... back to the basement for more treasures!! Also found a set of steak knives with ivory handles that my parents got as a wedding gift in 1958. Still in the silk lined box. More treasures to come, I'm sure! 'Shell 'Shell

They were my "post-adolescent" years ... not yet in my 20's ... Just took a peek in a box my brother left downstairs (jackass left it below a window!) and saw Divine ... Tears for Fears ... Pet Shop Boys ... YIKES!!! The formative years ... And somewhere around here I have that old bubble top record player with the round speakers! If I can find a needle, I'm in BUSINESS! 'Shell 'Shell

Face it Murray, you're old ... 'Shell 'Shell

Why thank you my dear! At that stage in my life, that was the COOLEST thing to ever happen! Prior to that it was meeting Bryan Adams and Platinum Blond after a concert. Again, Bryan is short and I'm sure, Platinum Blond was too if it weren't for the hair! Long live the 80's!! I LOVE that music!!! Hmmm ... was just in the basement earlier today and saw the trunk with all my old LP's in it ... I can only imagine what I'll dig up in there. Thanks for the kick start! 'Shell 'Shell

OMG I love Tears for Fears! I saw them here in, I think, 1985 or '86 ... not great seats but not nose bleeds either. The show was amazing and afterwards, we decided to meet some friends at a piano bar in a lounge in a downtown hotel. We walk in there and lo and behold, who's there but Roland and Curt! Talked to them for a bit, they sang a few "lounge songs" with local piano player and went on their way. It was really cool. The one thing I remember about that is damn are they short!. But like you said, GREAT music! Somewhere in the abyss that has become my house are LP's of theirs and pictures from that night. Guess I have to clean up! 'Shell 'Shell

Thank you my dear. I didn't read it as "Muncle"... so there goes the cow thread for me ... damn ... I wish I could think of a cow part that rhymed with uncle ... Your family JUST had to put that "e" in there, didn't they! 'Shell (whose last name is linked to cards but I can't play worth a damn!) 'Shell

Can you please give me your name phonetically then ... I see it as "Moin-kel" ... maybe that's just the Canadian in me. We're far too influenced by the French! 'Shell 'Shell

Okay, Moo-enkel ... 'Shell 'Shell

Huh? You do realize how udderly ridiculous this all sounds? Chris That's what I was thinking. Well he did say Will be down soon. I'm going to surmise that's it's better living through chemicals. 'Shell 'Shell
