  1. Take that back! Coors is good cheap beer it serves a valuable purpose!

  3. Ill throw my exp. in! I have 17 jumps, working towards my A as weather allows. I just got back from a tunnel camp at the new tunnel in Austin. It was FANTASTIC. I did 3 hours across 5 days and the progress was unbelievable to me. I started out able to stay on my belly sort of keeping a heading, but pretty terrible. Ended flying in a sit taking grips. I cannot wait to start working in the sky and trying to translate the stuff I learned. My belly flying feels soooo much more relaxed I can't believe it. I would 1000% rec. tunnel camps with some quality coaching to everyone looking to fly better. Now I just need more tunnel time, more jumps, and some canopy camps! ETA: Just to add to the points about visibility. I was actively seeking out coaching, that was how I found out about the camp I attended. In fact, everyone else in the camp knew the coach from previous time. I was asked multiple times how I found out about it. So I guess if you really want some good tunnel coaching, it's there to be found ( I found my coach via this site. There was a list of freefly coaches), but it takes some active effort on the students part.
  4. So a brief update: The tunnel camp was unbelievable. From the Austin staff, to Ari and his wonderful supportive fiance who shuttled people around and made sure we were all fed and taken care of, to the other fliers in the camp. They made me feel at home immediately and really went well above what I would consider the bar of a training camp. It totally blew my expectations away both in how far I was able to progress and the caliber of coaching. Ari is a ninja in the tunnel. I can't speak highly enough about how well his coaching style worked for me (and everyone else from the look of the progression in the camp). I would 1000% recommend him to anyone for anything. Really, the dude is rock solid everywhere. I for one know I will be a returning student. I will update this thread once I get all the video chopped up so you guys can see a little noobie progression. Made it to sit relatively stable off the net. Finished with a sit moving forward to high five Ari. Didn't realize it was my last 1:40 but couldn't have asked for a better way to finish. To all the previous posters. 3 hours was for sure tiring as all hell! No way I could do 3 hours of sit flying. We mixed in backflying and transitions during the sessions to let the shoulders relax a bit, that stuff is brutal on the shoulders!! Also, I am now addicted. !!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. You should try to find better associates. It's why I avoid the majority of society
  6. I didnt distinguish between legal or not. I would rather worry about 50k armed people Than 270 million armed people. I dont care how they managed to get armed. Why? Because I believe the majority of society behaves about like that lady.
  7. I for one would rather worry about 50k of those type of people armed instead of 270 million of them armed. Thats all. We just agree to disagree on that. You accept that there is no way to get rid of stupidity in America, but think they should still be allowed weapons. To me that is like accepting that kids will do unsafe shit, and so just leaving pots of boiling water all over instead of out of reach.....because hey you "can't fix stupid". No one is worried about what "law abiding" read as (relatively sane and balanced) people are doing.....we are worried about this lady.....
  8. ...because of what they learn from Momma. Dr. King is rolling in his grave. +5000 That shit is disgusting. I can not IMAGINE my mother EVER talking to someone in a position of authority like that. Regardless of what transpired to start it off. If my mother had been so horribly wronged she would have calmly left, probably said a prayer to the dude (shes kinda weird) and then filed some sort of an official complaint. Not stand there for 5 minutes screaming and cursing and physically assaulting the man while getting her KIDS to also behave that way. THIS is why guns should be banned!! You want these fuckin idiots carrying guns around? ETA: I also noticed the dad is there the entire time. Never even gets involved until the insane mother gets tased. Then he only bothers to get in the guards face and scream about how the guard tased the mom "in front of the babies"......Comedy at its worst. Never mind you just let the mother of your kids act like a complete asshole in front of the kids for 5 minutes.....Then you get in the face of the other guy and blame him...... I was waiting for one of them to pull a gun out and kill that guard.....you know for disrespecting the mom in front of the babies. Thank god it didn't end that way. -------------------------------------------------------- How about creating a soceity where people have to work for what they have instead of being offered government handouts? How about penalties for being a breeder like this woman? But instead these people are perpetuated by the system in place. You shouldnt have to look to far to assess blame. But yet you want to ban all guns and disarm private citizens because of idiots like this. Yea because Eugenics is frowned upon. But don't misunderstand me. I totally support a procreation board that approves all births. I would have strict requirements for breeding, like I have suggested for guns. The issue I see is people are REALLY against (the govt.) telling them they can or can't breed. I am not sure how you guys gathered she is on welfare/food stamps beyond that she doesn't look particularly wealthy and has a handful of kids to take care of....which is pretty expensive... I am with you though. Let the kids and mom starve. It works itself out in time. Until then IMO, please don't allow them the ability to be fuckin ARMED on top of it. Once our breeding program takes hold and we breed these people out of society. by all means let guns flow from fountains in the sky.

  10. Its also not true - but don't let that stop you. Sarcasm is lost on the interweb machine.
  11. Guns save tons of lives. This is an not for debate. We have theMOST GUNS in the world, and the LOWEST HOMICIDE rate in the world. It's obvious why. We need more guns however, since we still have some homicides with guns. We need more to deter those. +11111111 Also, strengthen drunk driving laws, because they will reduce gun crime. +1111
  12. ...thus producing more gay children, by a secret process that's known only to fa.... er, gays. Its like smurf procreation.
  13. Well that's obvious. After your salient on point retorts how could anyone still be in a debate with you? My only saving grace is the fact you will die 30 years before me and so I still have a chance.
  14. I guess in the same way Oklahoma City was. Good point. I meant a national crisis threatening our infrastructure. We didn't invade people after Oklahoma City, I think that may have saved us some money. Not sure a war was needed to thwart some dead dudes.
  15. :[. I think this might be a lost cause.
  16. Lol. For fun: Here is how you make sure a crazy person doesn't have those guns. They are secured at the sport range. When people come to practice and compete, they are issued the firearms for the duration of their stay. Done. Gonna be pretty hard to come check one out, and go kill 30 kids.
  17. And I am sure her dad would pay any additional costs if some horrible govt. regulations stepped in to make it harder to personally possess weapons No one is suggesting banning things like this. (except maybe the rifle at the start im not a firearm expert), but certainly no one is suggesting we eliminate educational safe uses of guns. People are suggesting that perhaps that firepower is not really needed on a day to day basis by random Joe Idiot down the street. For instance, how often are you attacked by 50 people? I would wager not often. So why would you need the firepower to take out 50 people in 1:17? That is why people suggest these guns have a place in sport, but perhaps not so much a place in the hands of the irresponsible who could then use them TO attack 50 people in 1:17.
  18. There was a list floating around after the election that made me laugh. Ranked states by college graduate percentage and then sorted them by who the state voted for in the election. I will let you guys guess the results.
  19. No argument here. I would love to see us pay the debt down and balance the budget. When Clinton was in power and accomplished running a budget surplus, govt. spending did decrease. Probably because he wasn't out invading everyone. Bush came in and spending increased with no national crisis like a major recession. Then Obama took over at the start of a recession. Govt. spending is in line with the state of the economy (looking at history) We agree on not waging wars on people and balancing a budget to pay down the debt. Id vote for Clinton again.
  20. I thought they were TOONIES and LOONIES. Is that wrong? what is a twoonie?
  21. It is new in the fact that the gov spending it near all time highs looked at as % of GPD It is not even CLOSE to an all time high. It is trending upward over the last 100 years just as State spending was as well. Kinda like how your gas costs more, and your demand is higher now than it was in 1950, so you have to spend more on it. Sigh. That graph uses colors and stuff you will like it I promise. Open it up and look. Oooooh, pretty. So basically government spending is pushing WWII levels. Huh? "Government spending peaked at just under 53 percent of GDP in 1945. Although spending dropped back to 21 percent of GDP immediately after WWII, it steadily climbed thereafter until it hit a peak of 36 percent of GDP in the bottom of the recession of 1980-82. Thereafter government spending chugged along in the mid 30s until the mortgage meltdown of 2008. In the aftermath of bank and auto bailouts, government spending surged to wartime levels at 45 percent of GDP. The mortgage emergency seems to have ratcheted out-year spending up a notch. Near term government spending in the future is pegging at 40 percent of GDP." Seems pretty reasonable to me. We are fighting war, and trying to recover from a major recession, and our spending is no more out of line than in any other crisis periods in our history. We are still 15% below WWII levels and in line with the 80s recession.
  22. Well the 3% the credit card companies take for processing would need some work. I buy/sell cars for a second income. EVERYONE pays in cash. I'd take plastic if it didn't cost me money.
