  1. do you have your stealth 0.5 on a pc style camera on a d-box. If so do you have problems with seeing the edge of the box in the frame.
  2. I do all the editing for a dropzone on a Powermac G4 with imovie which if it renders does it really quick. But I have a Dell and have been running Vegas because imovie is only for imacs. I would like to know what i have to put in my computer to make the rendering of the finished product go quicker. Do I need more memory, a better graphics card, or what.
  3. I edit my videos using Vegas 4 for the PC. The question is how do I get the rendering of the video after the edit is to be fast. I would like to get it rendered pretty quick. What do i have to do to my computer to make it render it quickly. Something like the imac's g4 for imovie. THANKS
  4. The pc style d box has the hard red cord that closes the top of the box to keep the camera in. Has anybody had any problems with the camera moving causing it to tape the jump out of sight and having the tape gitter or flutter. Just asking or does it close up really tight so once the camera is in place it does not move. Also once you sight it in and remove the camera from the box and place it back in will you have to resight the camera or will it be sighted in still.
  5. How do you guys mount your d-box to a flat top pro? I am getting a pc 109 and am getting a d box for it but was woundering if you guys screw both the d-box down and use a tripod screw for the camera in the d box. Pics if possible would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Sorry must have miss understood you when i read the post.
  7. This is a good way to exit but the down fall is you may mess with the student. If you exit and mess it up you will end up stilling all air from the student and he will fall on top of you. This creating more of a problem for the student then he already needs. The way I exit from a 182 or 206 would be to climb out first and have a rear float possition on the plane. But agian you may run into a problem, the student and instructors have to present the count big enough for you to see it so you can leave just before them. And if the student leaves early without a count you will have to be on your feet . There are advantages and disadvantages for each way you exit the smaller planes find a way that works for you and then go with it.
  8. here is a couple more of me landing and swooping
  9. nobody has any pic's of them swooping or fling the katana
  10. Just wanted to see who all has really good pics of you flying your katana's. Here's one of mine on opening.
  11. Thanks for your help glad you could help me figure thr lens out.
  12. I got the lenses to work like i wanted today. I was just asking a question due to a problem i was having and just needed some advise. I know how to work my stuff that i bought. I just asked.. THANKS RYAN
  13. Yes, you can set you AV or TV to what you want. I use TV set at 320 all the time. But like I said that works great for the sunny days and when it gets sunset or on cloudy days the pics are really dark unless i use sports mode which i would like to use the TV most or all the time. I had an instance where the sports mode blurred a small part of the pic for some reason. I have not had that happen with TV mode.
  14. I just got the 500mm today so I have been playing around with it. But the same thing happens to me on my fisheye lens. Unless i put it in sports mode during sunset and dawn i get a really dark pic.
  15. I have a digital rebel and was wondering what everybody was using as there settings? Reason I ask is because I use all manual lenses and I just bought a 500mm tele. lens for ground shots. The problem i am having is that I use TV setting and will set it at 320 or higher during the sunny part of the day and the picture turn out great. When the sun is setting I have to turn it to sports mode to get the pictures not to be really dark. So when I'm using the 500mm lens it gets to be really dark and is hard to see the pic unless it is a really sunny day. So I ask what is the settings that most of you use on manual lenses. I keep having issues on this camera right at the sunset load or if there is cloud cover. THANKS
  16. I have the new one with the large red center where you are supposed to bite. Does this one have the stereo plug. Because if it has the stereo plug then i have no clue why it would shoot like it does.
  17. Whats the 2.5mm plug that the conceptus bite switch? Is that mono or the stereo? I use it and have the same problem. Some times i will get 40 to 60 pic other times i get 2. Also what settings are you guys using for you digital rabel. I have found that i can use th TV set at 320 till it gets sunset and then i have to use the sports mode due to the TV usually is too dark.
  18. so does anybody know the word on the release of the 135 and the 150 for the katana. I want a 135 and plan on ordering it as soon as it is ready. Can anybody tell me when the date is.
  19. I wounder do they charge extra for the katana design on the bottom of the canopy or do they put it on it on reqest only. I have seen 2 or 3 but they had no emblem on it
  20. Most expensive jump would be the one on June 1,2002. Doing a video of a tandem everything was fine till about 100 ft when i turned in to land the left side of the canopy folded under and spun me into the ground. I shattered my left anke, cracked my right heal, bit the side of my tounge off, split my head open after the helmet was ripped off my head, broke my sacrum in half and seperated my spin. I was life lined to Indianapolis Hospital. I have a bar and 9 screws in my left ankle and 2 screws holding my back together. Total was $300,000 dollars for the doctors bill. So I beleave that was one of the most expensive dives i have ever had. Thats not including the expense for the camera helmet and cameras and jumpsuit.
  21. Anyone know where you can get the batteries for a pro-track at a cheaper and better price then the gear stores on the net. The price of them an't to bad but they charge like 9.00 for shipping. I tried the radio shack in town and walmart and nothing.
  22. I have the genera G-4 and when i bought it, it had a 170 main and a 170 tempo reserve. That is the largest the g-4 will fit. right know i have a 170 reserve and 150 main.
  23. I use vegas and i also use MYDVD. Fastest and by far the best way to burn it to dvd is to: 1. after you edit the movie go up and click FILE 2. scroll down to where it says RENDER AS and CLICK 3. a screen will apear, go to the drop down window and CLICK mpeg 2 NTSC format. 4. Last click the start button and save it in a file. 5. A then transfer it to either MYDVD or what other program you have. P.S. BUY MYDVD!!!!!
  24. I didn't spend that much maybe 160.00 for pulling the camper to its home spot and then gas for the car back and forth and food. I made more then i spent. I probably made around 2 to 3 thousand jumping this year. But agian i worked the whole summer getting paid to jump.
