Another secret to docking is to have both objects have a non-elliptical orbit as possible. This can be done but it takes alot of fuel if you're new to it. when you get both objects on a non-eliptical orbit, then try to match each other's orbit to increase the chance for an encounter. Again this will take a few more burns if you have not done this. Finally, when you have done both 1 and 2 then it's just a matter of time when you will have an encounter no much greater than 10km apart. From there it's all about using RCS until you dock. If you're not using MechJeb i would recommend it,,it makes launching, maneuvering, and docking manageable and easier.

Actually you can warp time 4x with engines thrusted up. If you look on youtube there is a tutorial about trying to get to light speed in the game, he says it would take 22 days roughly. Hahah. I still cant even dock in orbit on something My poor Kerbals never have a chance to survive their lunar landing without a LM. I thought i was the only person playing this sim. Trying not to give away what i do for a living but from an engineering point of view it takes awhole lot of the guessing work out of orbital theory...basically it's more for entertainment with a touch of simulation. I'd recommend getting the MechJeb addon from here : http://kerbalspaceport.com/ Trust me, you'll thank me later if you are not using it. Ancient Launch mod is also nice since it has pre-pad rockets from the Mercury to Apollo launches. Finally, this dude http://www.youtube.com/user/szyzyg has great tutorials on the game. The other mods are rikey dinkey so I'd recommend waiting for full release. Look me up if you guys have STeam..my name is "MouthFromGoonies"

nothing against instructors, but yes, i do agree that it felt like being kicked to the curb after cleared for solo. however, i do feel they need to concentrate on whichever student they have at the time. best thing to do is to build a rapport with them after aff and throughout your jump career. other than that...give your DZ a case of BEER!

I've had experience with Vegas Pro. An upgrade of ram will not make it faster. You'll have to consider upgrading your processor AND motherboard. Dualcore is old technology. Quad and dual quads are available on AMD's line.
