"First, and most importantly, the campaign in Mesopotamia is all but won. This week the 2nd Battalion 9th Marines arrived in Al Anbar Province – once the bloodiest place on the planet – to assume the mission of honing the skills of Iraqi forces who now have responsibility for security in the largest of Iraq’s 18 provinces. Iraqis – instead of Americans – are now conducting most combat operations against Al Qaeda remnants and Shiite militias throughout the country. General Ray Odierno, the new U.S. commander in Iraq demurs from describing the current situation a “victory” because bloodshed still occurs. This week Sunni suicide bombers in Salahidin Province and Baghdad killed 28 and wounded more than 30 Shiite worshipers celebrating Eid – the end of their Ramadan fast." OK, while US diplomats claim that Iraq is on it's way to becoming our closest allies in the region I say that they are both incompetent and dilusional. So where do I read that the surge did not work? In the statements above. jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275

Aha...what you are implying is that the ocupational force increase in Iraq euphemistically called 'The Surge' (Why they did not call it The Belch I don't know) did not work. Well if it did not work then why is John McCain and his VP candidate tell us it was a great success? Are they lying or are they just clueless? jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275

First of all let us distinguish between socialism and social responsibility. LEt's looks at just one aspect - health insurance. I am well educated and am able to care relatively well for the hordes of children that I have. As I run a small business I am well aware of the costs of health insurance. I am also well aware of the limitiations insurance companies pose on you. I am once again lucky - I am at a good age and of perfect health. The travesty is that while we are one of the few top technically developed countries in the world whith an infrastructure second to none, over 50 million (that is 50,000,000) of our fellow citizens HAVE NO FORM OF HEALTH INSURANCE!!! That means that they get no preventive health checkups, no mammographs, no cholesterol measures nothing! If they have a mishap they will get the basic care as hospitals will admitt them, but the following health bills will drive them into bankruptcy, make them loose whatever they have. If you ask me if we need more social responsibility in this country the answer is YES. Liberalism per definition is incribed into the constitution of the United States. Aside for all else it is the Government for the people and by the people. In that definition, for the people means that the government has certain responsibilities towards the citizens. In today's eveloved economic and social systems that means taking care of the BASIC needs of the citizens and health care is one of them. Socialism calls for collective ownership and administration of means of production. I strongly believe that the Democratic National Convention could not be further from suggesting that. Social responsibility however is a sign of developed societies. I may be an atheist but I am the first one to say that we have a responsibilitie for those lesser brothers of ours. That is what differenciates us from animals. I am not calling for a larger government - as a matter of fact I am calling for a smaller and more efficient government. I want the DoH to provide health services - real heath services for all. I want the DoD to provide defense for us and not spread democracy to Iraq - I could not care less about Iraq. I want an efficient, reasonable and effective policing organization without the overgrown, overstaffed, overbudgeted, self important and incompetent DHS. I want a modern efficient, technically competent society with a free market economy, leading education, health care and infrastructure. I want strict separation of church and state. I want absolute fredom of religion and expression. I want us to be the leaders of the world again, brecause we are falling behind on all fronts - military, financial and social. As long as out leaders have lobbyists for foreign powers as their closests adivsors (John McCains entire campaign leadership is - please check if you think I am wrong) we are going to get nowhere. As long as our political leaders put their religion before state we will fail. America is not a country of evangelical christians who earn m ore that $500,000 a year. We are a multi religious, multi cultural society. This is what makes us rich, this is part of the success of this country. If Sarah Palin believes in witchcraft and the conception of women from a man's rib, that is fine - as long as she does that in the privacy of her religious beliefs. Once she mixes her cult with national policy she automatically steps agains the basic pronciples of this contry. Call me brainwashed, or call me a carefull scion of our constitution. jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275

Open letter to robinheid: Dear Robin Moses/Hussein/Adolf Heid: You started jumping 33 years ago, when I was about 6. You are obviously much senior to me and people say that with age comes wisdom. You must have been privy to the actions of the domestic terrorists that Sister Sarah mentioned last morning while being surrounded by her many mules/assess (A senior citizen like you should remember the movie). It is both funny and sad that the RNC allows its name to be associated with such desperate and daft attempts to discredit the DNC candidate. You may dislike Barack Obama for the fact that he is black, that his father was not born here, for the fact that he has muslim ancestry, because he is a liberal or ny other numbers of reasons. However if you agree with Sister Sarah and her white haired mule with regards to the latest accusation you bring yourself to the intellectual level of an amoeba. As a senoir citizen you will remember the Black Panthers, Weather Underground or any other group that in that turbulent period of US history has attempted to change national policy by armed struggle. These were turbulent yet extremely formative years to our country. Now for better or worse but they have helped us become who we are today and most of those accused of "domestic terrorosm" during the Vietnam era became important contributing members of our society. This is true with regards to Bill Ayers, a Distinguished Professor at the University of Illinois, it is true for my professor of Labor Law at the graduate program I attended. Sarah Palin blurts out talking points given to her by speachwriters without even looking at the root of their knowledge. She is an efficient teleprompter reader which makes her competent enough to be the weather person at a local alaskan TV station. If you asked her a question on the social turbulences of the 60's and 70's in the United States - 'ya betcha she would have to get right back to ya' on the topic. I preffer to pay more taxes with Barack Obama at the helm of our nation than to pay no taxes at all with the 'graduated thrid from bottom of my class, so got shot down real fast' John McCain as president. At least with Obama's leadership my kids stand a chance to live in a free and leading country. When it comes to McCain - his kids will be living on their private island in the Bahamas while mine will manufacutring shoes and plastic xtrusion toys in a Chinese owned factory. jraf Me Jungleman! Yeah. We get your point. So what is his middle name is Hussein? My name is Hans, are you going to claim that I am a Nazi because of my name? There are claims that he is muslim. For all I believe he is very mildly religious if at all, but if he were muslim that would make absolutely no difference to the legislative process. Senator Lieberman is a Jew - why don't you point out tha he is Joe Israel Lieberman? The Nazi's did that to the Jewish pouplation of Germany. First the had them add Israel/Sarah as their middle names, then they put yellow David's stars on their clothing and finally they threw them into concentration camps and killed them. Separation of church and State is a firm foundation of our constitution and a candidate's religious affiliation is the last thing we should be looking at. That is unless like Sarah Palin the candidate is member of a disturbing cult and want's to make policy out of the claim that the world is 6,000 years old. Let Barack Obama's middle name be Hussein. You have your name he has his and it was his parents who gave it to him. The United States of America is a melting pot of people and ideas. We are not a country of evalgelical christians (whatever that means). We are a diverse nation rich in the cultures of the countries our ancestors came from. If you want to live in a teocracy, please move to Iran. They have a great handle on the topic and may teach you a thing about it. Till then, get your religion out of my face and enjoy it in the privacy of your living room or temple. jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275

Bill, the problem is that, to use your terms, she was not interviewing to pass the AFF 4 exam. She was in fact interviewing to be head organizer of the next 305,000,000 way jumping out all the planes the United States has. She has continued her streak of failure as she would one way or the other. She did not do a good job, she was a disaster - our disaster, your and mine. She repeated talking points that she was force fed for weeks now. What he has shown again is that she has a VERY limited capacity for memorizing facts. She also lacks the ability to compose separate talking points into permutations of the base material. I stated in another post - her intellectual abilities are as shallow as a cookie sheet. The fact that she did not stumble greatly last night is no success. We as a nation should get the F mark for allowing anyone to suggest that a person so lacking intellect, knowledge and general hunger for wisdom should become the second most important person in this country. jraf Me Jungleman! One word - Idiocracy. This is what we have come to as a nation - we are deliberating if an undereducated, intellectualy lazy moron such as Sister Sarah is should be the Vice President. *A woman who speaks in toungs and has a witch doctor as spiritual leader. *A woman who could not point to Venezuela on the map if you gave her half of that country's oil proceeds *A woman who thinks that the supreme court is not needed, "cause ya' can solve all these problems locally" We have trully fallen low. jraf Me Jungleman! Any chance Palin will hold her own during the debate?
jraf replied to freeflybella's topic in Speakers Corner
Please refer to billvon's thread on agogance and eletism. It could be a window to you soul It is widely known - I have no soul. As to "agogance and eletism" I guess my education is incomplete and I will have to read up on these new schools of thought. jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275 -

Would you care to tell me what the hell you are talking about? Or, are you so smart that I should just know? Well, there you go...a typical constituent of Sister Sarah and her eight mules (or should I say eight asses?)...yes so typical to not quite grasp what is going on. Please let me tell you that reading has a great future, and reading between the lines is an art I stongly advocate. Coming back to post debate Sister Parahsalin: the woman is as shalow as a coockie sheet. She lacks any substance. It is personally insulting to me that senator McCain and the RNC had the audacity to suggest someone so devout of any true value as a potential VP of the country. She is probably not even qualified to run to the bathroom, let alone run the nation. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: THE STATEMENTS IDENTICAL TO THESE IN THIS POST FOUND IN THE POST OF MISSKRISS BELONG TO THIS AUTHOR AND WHERE POSTED THERE BY MISTAKE - even though she supports the statement jraf Me Jungleman! Any chance Palin will hold her own during the debate?
jraf replied to freeflybella's topic in Speakers Corner
Sarah Palin (or Parahsalin as I like to call her in the sporting spirit) is dumber than a box of Q-Tips. Now let me elaborate on that statement: 1. She lacks the curiosity of the world that one would expect of a world class politician and leader. She just does not want to know about issues other than her immediate vicinity offers her. 2. She is intelectually lazy - her statements about papers she reads ("All of them they give me"), or about Supreme Court cases other than Roe v. Wade that she disagrees with ("well...all this stuff can be dealt with at a local level" - I guess she thinks the Supreme Court is useless) show a person who is not competent to run a country. I am sure that she was a great PTA member, but what I want from this countrys leader is the ability and desire to comprehend the world. Based on this understanding of the global enviromnent, educated wise decisions pertaining to issues internal to our country can be made. I want us to take back our leadership positon in the world. We can not do that if we have an undereducated spoiled 72 year old brat as president and a "gun totin' moose eatin' snow mobile ridin' will have to get back to ya' 'bout that question Charlie" female version of Joe Sixpack as VP/soon to be President. With all due respect to all Joe Sixpacks - we are interviewing for the most important position in this nation. We are the guys making the decision about our future and the future of next generations of Americans. If you want to elect a Joe Sixpack to the VP office forget sister Sarah, go the the nearest gas station in D.C. elect the dude who is manager in charge of the shift and spare yourself the relocation expenses for Sister Sarah, Todd, Trig, Clutch, her unborn child, her unwed boyfriend and his dog, Armoir, Tire and Saddle as well as their moose and snow mobile. jraf Me Jungleman! Why do some jumpers think its okay I have to be smiling in the jump plane?
jraf replied to NickDG's topic in The Bonfire
Way back when I had a thought of changing my profession and becoming a professional skydiver... and then I thought again. This way I can bitch about the frustrations of work and then relax jumping at various dropzones with various people and just enjoy. When you decide to make your fun into work, the probability is that at a certain point your work will be fun no more. When work becomes too frustruting I just sneak out of the office and jump for the rest of the afternoon. Skydiving is great fun to me and I will keep it this way. While I appreciate your comittment and lack of cynicism so very rare in an AFF instructor, I have to say you have yourself to blame. you should have kept skydiving a pastime and not a profession. jraf Me Jungleman! CEOs with Extreme Hobbies Should Give Investors Pause
jraf replied to ntrprnr's topic in The Bonfire
Well, I guess that CEO's should also seriously avoid cancer, cause it's even more deadly than extreme sports. I can't remeber when I heard of a CEO dying in an extreme sport (I know Fox quotes one) but I know a buch who died of what Fox would call natural causes without previously informing the public of their intentions to rapidly part ways with their shareholders. On other hand I see FOX as a hybrid between the 700 Club and the Goebbelsian propaganda machine, and therefore treat them somewhat lightly. jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275 -
Yep...first we cute them, then we eat them! If Mickey Mouse were tender enough I would eat the fucker, but at 80 years old he can't possibly be tasty. Lassie - the Koreans had the idea, dog is very, very tasty!. Black Beauty - now that is a tasty treat. Delicious! I'll be there - One thing that is of interest to me is an open candid discussion with the directors with regards to who and how the USPA represents. I have heard enough of the "Well, we can't do anything about that" bull shit. If they really can't do anything about DZOs and other stuff then perhaps we should alternatively join AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) as under FAA regulation we are airship pilots. AOPA is much larger, much more powerful and due to the general afluence of it's members it takes it's members seriously jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275

When it cmes to restoration the Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, FL is about the best place in the world I can imagine. They have a P-38 salvaged in two parts from the Honduran Air Force and are going to have it restored. Anyone coming to Deland or Zhills can see it - it's in a back room nicely piled up and waitng for it's turn. They have piles, and i mean piles of planes waiting to be restored and they have the largest private collection of antique planes in the world. It always is fun to go there. jraf Me Jungleman! Very true and amazing: Summer 2006 I was in El Paso, TX working on a project. One morning I was late for a meeting in the desert (McNary) 70 miles east of El Paso. I picked up some metal stuff that was poking out of the rear load window of the rented Ford Expedition I had and proceeded to the meeting on the I-10 at a steady pace of 115 mph. I was still doing that when I was clocked by a texas State Trooper. All I was able to say very quickly was: Meeting...UPRR...train on siding...late...Border Patrol waitng...Big trouble....I'm sorry!!!!! ...and I got away with a warning and advice to get there late but alive. Truly amazing - the speed limit there is 80 mph. jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275
