Having spent a couple of weeks in the rubble of the WTC I can tell you first hand that there were not a lot of large pieces of anything left. Cell phones do work at 30,000 feet and can be used once you have exited American airspace. The US doesn't allow cell phone use on flights as a security measure.

Yes. I am debt free except for one remaining student loan which I won't pay off ahead of schedule since I can make more money investing the funds than I will spend in interest on it. I became debt free by: 1. Don't carry your credit cards. It's more tempting to spend money you don't have if the cards are with you. 2. Don't buy things on credit and think "I'll just pay off the extra next month". If you don't have the money, you don't have the money. 3. It may be wise to shift your credit card debt to a low or no interest card. Be careful not to close your long standing credit accounts, even if they're empty. 4. Budget your expenses and figure out how much you can afford to pay toward your credit card debt. Make the largest possible payment every month. 5. Pay out your debt payment first so it doesn't get used for other things. I suggest making the largest payment on the card with the smallest balance and making the minimum payment on the other cards. You'll notice faster results this way. 6. John Kerry: N.Y.C., Boston Gone by 2036 Failed presidential candidate John Kerry offered a startling prediction Friday morning: If the U.S. doesn't change its global warming ways, New York City and Boston will be destroyed due to flooding by 2036. "I can say to an absolute certainty," Kerry told radio host Don Imus, "that if things stay exactly as they are today absent some unpredictable change in what's going on, within the next 30 years the Arctic ice sheet is gone. As someone in the top 5% I can tell you that I'm not paying your damn taxes so you can "buy a house". When I was in the bottom 50% I paid my taxes, lived on a budget and bought a house that ended up being significantly cheaper for a mortgage than what I paid in rent. In addition to that, I went to school. When I graduated, I went to graduate school. I made my own choices. You make your own choices. I shouldn't have to support you. Tunnel time is great for body flight, but is no help in understanding the equipment or the experience of the jump and the landing. I would suggest you do a tandem first. I didn't and I think I would have learned a lot more in the AFF ground school if I had. Doing as much as you can as quickly as you can is definitely the best way to look at your training if you can do it that way!
