I don't think where I am or what I'm doing should matter. I have the right to defend myself. I'm not a Brit. No. That isn't what I said. I would still participate in the same things as I do now if I didn't have a gun. The good outweighs the bad IMO. If I hadn't had a gun this time, I don't know if I would have been able to participate in the same activity ever again. If he'd pulled a gun first, I would have killed him. The difference between the thugs and me is that I get in a hell of a lot more target practice and have a lot more training. I also believe that the element of surprise is vital in concealed carry. According to Colorado law, there are four places you cannot carry: 1. Private property that has posted signs prohibiting guns 2. Federal government buildings 3. Public schools K-12 4. Public buildings that prohibit ALL weapons of any kind and that have security personnel at each entrance It is, however, unlawful to carry while consuming alcohol. I don't know the specifics. Thanks for your support, guys. I don't remember ever being that scared. If he hadn't backed up when he did I think I would have double tapped him in the head. I'm just glad they walked away. I've had an interesting evening. I was in a shady part of town this evening and got a little bit lost looking for an address that was difficult to read. I stopped at a bar to ask for directions. On my way back to my truck a group of punks started hassling me. They followed me all the way across the lot. My hand went inside my jacket to grip my trusty Glock as I walked. Chicken? Yes, I am. When I unlocked my truck and went to get in one of the guys said "I think you should stay with us for awhile, Chica." As he started to close in on me, I pulled out the Glock and had one chambered and pointed at his head before he knew what happened. He took a step back, said something rude and they all took off. I sat in my truck for awhile, waiting for the cops. I'm still a little freaked out, but I'm okay.
