How about pay attention to the wind direction so that if you happen to be a little bit of an exhibitionistic freak you don't end up having to move to the secondary landing area and only showing your nekkedness to the cacti? Anyone want to help a young, green skydiver work on accuracy for her C license? Beer included. I may be more accurate than I think but we don't really have peas or targets set up here, and I usually just put myself in an unoccupied space as free of turbulance as possible. We'd better not even mention what most of those poor local honeys are doing to get said perfume, and what sort of nasty, terminal, STD's they might be carrying. My ex husband #2 was stationed there for 3 years, I don't know anything about skydiving but the snorkeling and scuba is supposed to be just awesome. If I hadn't been so nice and given back all his pics I would scan and post but to give you an example, when we moved to Hawaii he complained that the water wasn't as pretty. I am watching the 1996 version of Shirley Jackson's novel The Lottery. I've read a lot of her stuff and I knew she was either really, really twisted or really, really funny but somehow this movie almost more disturbing than the book. Ugh. What cellular service provider should I choose? (National Service)

I've had Verizon in both California and Hawaii and I've spent a total of over $400 cancelling service on three phones because the service and prices were lousy. I haven't tried in Atlanta, but their customer service was always really, really terrible for me. I have T-Mobile now and I love it. Jess Just keep swimming...just keep swimming.... -

Oooh, oooh, oooh, I want to answer the thread tha's been brought back from 2001. I started skydiving because: 1. I fell out of the helicopter on my rappels at air assault school and I figured it would be WAY more entertaining to fall out of an airplane at a higher altitude, without the rope, and without all the equipment on. and 2. I was super bummed about a crappy ended relationship and the guy I was sleeping with to spite my ex wanted to go do a tandem. I was hooked from the second they opened the door of the plane and I felt the wind on my face. I had considerably less of the jumping up and down and screaming when we landed, it was more a calm euphoria and a wierd kind of peace followed by.....HOW THE HELL AM I GOING TO FINANCE MY NEW SPORT!!! My second jump was my first AFF jump. Jess Just keep swimming...just keep swimming....

I know this topic has been beat to death many times before but I would like to hear from any lower time jumpers who have jumped a lightly loaded Cobalt. I was contemplating demoing a 135 after Eloy, which would mean I'd have about 150 jumps or so, most of them on a Sabre 150. My exit weight is between 140 and 145 and I have been assured that to demo even a lightly loaded Cobalt means certain death (of course, the gentleman that offered that opinion probably weighs close to 160-165 without gear and attempted a jump with a 105 and may have hooked it in on the jump in question, while I still land very conservatively). So, (and I have already bothered cobaltdan with my questions far too much), is it a stupid idea? Should I stick with another Sabre? Any other suggesitons for a next canopy, preferably a 9 cell?
