"The road to Hell is paved with..." His Great Society policies theorized that by throwing unlimited money (our taxes) at poverty, that it would be changed. He institutionalized generational welfare dependency. Instead, eventually even the Dems realized that giving people carte blanche was not a solution and Clinton set limits on bottomless welfare programs.

It is actually quite helpful. It is a sign of how a person treats other people when they do not have to be nice. Everyone can be polite to their boss at work, or some other authority figure. How they treat others when they do not have to, that is a sign of their true character.
-
That creates an easy part and a hard part. People should learn from their past and not repeat mistakes. However, baggage is expecting those problems with all future individuals. So, it makes dating and relationships easier in one way. The other person actually has to treat you well. That is the valid expectation for a relationship. However, it makes relationships harder in another way. You end up making good treatment the entry criteria. (Your definition of good treatment, not their definition) When this fails to occur, you discover that there are some people who have significant reasons for remaining single. They will characterize it as your problem when you distance yourself from their behavior.

Use a shoe. Around 3000 ft, wedge a sneaker between the door and the inside floater bar. It will keep the wind out and be easy to remove.

The chart on the website is a graph of the simple four-week moving average of initial jobless claims. That is the basis for the analysis. The "initial jobless claims" have stabilized. That does not state that a recession is ending, merely that it has bottomed-out. The number of new people being laid off has stabilized. A recession is over when the economy recovers, not merely when it plateaus at the bottom. So, we have interpretation of a graph. Value - This website is not a govt entity. It has such contributors as Robert Reich, instructor at Berkeley and former economics advisor to financial genius Jimmy Carter.

Extremists force Mecca club to change its name

Rising. Thank (insert generic deity, so as not to offend anyone) that we can relax because our weekly terrorist threat has been identified. Might as well get it over early in the week. clicky I guess this was the FBIs fault. -
"She wasn't meeting my needs, so I divorced her." You're right; That does sound ridiculous. Whenever I hear that "meeting my needs" line, the hair raises on the back of my neck. Instead of a partnership, it sounds like they are expecting a one-way arrangement, where one party gives, while the other party takes. When a man states his reasons, women evaluate the reason, not validate it. Therefore, men end up frustrated with trying to communicate. Something as simple as - "I am stressed and I would like to work it off by playing a sport or spending time with my friends." Women need to realize that they rarely validate what men say.
-
(proceeding to open the can of worms) Other women on this thread women have affirmed their support that this is a valid reason. I have also heard the "not meeting my needs" reason used for women cheating on their husbands. It is the husbands fault. However, it sounds stupid when men say it because "that's different".

Benedict XVI describes paedophilia as an 'illness'

Their power is monetary. The Vatican art collection and multi-billion dollar real estate holdings. External groups have failed in the past. Lawyers can sue them into either complying to the law or losing all their monetary power. Internally, groups need to be formed that say, "We will not donate money until you turn over the self-admittedly guilty persons." Problem solved. -

From your article, in his own words. He is either the stupidest person walking, the most naive, or the biggest liar. So, he is "claiming" to be unaware of all this. I can't imagine that anyone believes this. I have to go with liar on this. For someone who claims to be the CC's leading moral figure, how does he plan to sell this one? Yes they did. The immediately covered up the issue and transferred the priests to other areas. Of course, the priests merely continued at another venue, with another group of victims. The CC responded quickly and decisively to cover things up, not protect their parishioners. So? Turn them over to the police. Jail would keep them from access to kids. Justice and problem solved. No one has ever answered the primary question in these cases... why are priests above the law? How do they claim a right that no one else has? Can a practicing Catholic wants to answer that question for me? Is there a valid reason why the CC has never immediately turned them over to police? No, we need to protect the innocent from these monsters. I love lawsuits against the CC. It hits them in the spot they care about, their purse. If the pope really cares - he should turn the priests over to regular courts. he should settle with the victims. -
Yep - gott have a seizure to hit both sides. This week, there is a festival in my honor.

A general rule in life is, praise in public, criticize in private. However, the deciding factor would be whether your are providing new information. The arguments are generally based on a perceived difference in information and presentation. New jumpers believe they have considered all the factors. More experienced jumpers believe that the new ones don't understand all the factors. So, the key in public discussions is to provide information, but in a non-confrontational way. (This all goes out the window if someone is just trolling and just wishes to pick a fight)

Exclusive - Bill Clinton Extended Interview Pt. 1
happythoughts replied to Darius11's topic in Speakers Corner
Giving tax credits for training is an old workable strategy. When I started with a large company in '89, companies took college students and gave them 6 week training classes because of tax credits for doing so. In the mid-90s, these programs went away and companies hired less college grads. Tax credits were re-directed as training if women/minorities were hired into management positions and "provided training". Those programs were a disservice to everyone involved. The group who suffered worst from this was black men. Well qualified black men were overlooked by HR depts looking for black women. He also identifies a problem as an uneducated job force. The problem is that the jobs are going to cheaper foreign labor, that includes US jobs where foreign labor is imported. There are plenty of qualified college students graduating, and they cannot find jobs. A college education shouldn't be necessary for all jobs, but the manufacturing base is gone. His program does nothing to address that. Plus, historically, everything coming out of his mouth is based on his self-interest. -

"Strongly condemns" ? Oh my! Not strongly condemning. Not that! Nothing more than the words, posturing, and BS that the CC has been doing all along. If he wants to actually protect children from these monsters, then he should turn them over to the police for arrest. Of course, that would be the moral and right thing to do, so... not expecting that Ever. So, all the Catholics in England should stop contributing money to their coffers until this is done. I'll bet the pope would throw them under the bus inside a month. "We have the sanctity of the confessional to consider and can't expose... what ? No money ? Here they are." -
I always use my standard technique of lying. By the time, she's disappointed, I'm done.

Get one of those water cooler bottles. During the first two years, every time you have sex, put a quarter in the bottle. After that, every time you have sex, take a quarter out. At a certain point, you realize that you'll never see the bottom of that jug, so take the remaining quarters out and go have a few drinks.

No way, Vader vs Obi-wan on Mustafar was much, much better. We'll not talk about Vader vs Obi-wan on the Death Star, however. As sword work goes the death star fight was the most accurate in any StarWars movie. Two masters facing each other botheknowing that it takes an opening that is imperceptible to lesser trained swordsmen and the fight is over with a single stroke. Just ad with all things Hollywood prefers flash over substance and o swords work now looks like amateurs swinging axe handles instead of razor sharp steel that will kill You before you know you've been cut much less a scifi lightsword that would be far more dangerous for its user as well as his opponent. Nonsense. The fight was dull because Obi-wan knew he was overmatched, so his only goal was to survive long enough to allow Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, and the droids to make it back to the Falcon. Once they were safely by the spacecraft, he surrendered and allowed Vader to cut him down. On Mustafar they were both out for blood, and equally skilled, and thus the fight was much more exciting. So, what you're saying is, you're both virgins ? ps. Swordwork, fencing, kendo (and the travel I've done to study it) has gotten me laid FAR more often than skydiving has, and by women in significantly better shape and fitness First off, I congratulate you and respect the work that you have put into learning the sword. When I took Shotokan, the master for the SE US was Shigeru Takashina, a karate master and kendo competitor. However, I was just giving you guys crap about Star Wars.

Ground launch. Trebuchet.

Seems like we are missing the poster boy for that. Faisal Shahzad, the Times Square bomber was a US-trained financial analyst. His name came up in the news today. news The news didn't really focus on the important point. He gave two individuals money. The same terrorist organization. Where is the other guy right now? What is he doing with his money today?

No it ain't don't you mean "isn't" tsk tsk. ...I mean tisk tisk He is speakin in "tonuges"... to make sure there is comprehension in the flyover portions of the country He talks about "heart" more than a songwriter for N'Sync. Perhaps there is a font that will dot the i's with a little heart. That would be so awesome. Here I thought terrorism was war. It's just being moody.

Logical... logical. Small burgers from small cows. Kind of like getting chocolate milk from brown cows. "What happened to your herd?" "I think they died during the branding", replied Mr. Kedderinski.
