(Continuing as if this thread mentioned Colin Powell...) I like CP. It is too bad that he has stated his disinterest in running for Pres. He has depth of experience in many areas. Many roles. Obama rose in the world of the Chicago political machine by running social programs. Too bad CP isn't running.

For most software contracting companies, the site-reps are hot. One company had two reps whose former jobs were a Hooters waitress and a flight attendant. The flight attendant was from LA and was theorized to have been in the movie industry. The Hooters girl was extremely "qualified" and usually wore attire that would get her arrested on a street corner. That said, they made good money. Everyone seemed happy with the program.

This is a huge step for the Dems. Actual support from someone that is credible. In the past, the Reps didn't actually win elections. The Dems just handed it to them for years. Dems - "our candidate is..." Reps - "our candidate is Lassie and Timmy for VP" It is the difference between the college instructors. The business professor and the orange-haired "artists". They do what they do... but who do you respect? Another year of Sharpton, Jackson, and the Blue-Dressed Shrieker? Self-destruction. Powell has been places and done things. Military experience. Foreign policy. Education. I respect him. His opinion has value.

Yesterday was a bit cool. Out at the dz and it was too warm at moments, but less humid than usual. Today, Fall is upon us. I went to a birthday party and it was held outdoors. They had a bouncy-castle for the kids. It was in the mid-70s, so they were able to play without sweating to death. Towards the end of the day, it developed into a water-balloon war.

A metallic object might bounce pretty well if it hit a hard surface. Somebody in Florida was telling me about using bowling balls. You park a junk car on an abandoned road. Then, fly over in a Cessna and try to hit it with a bowling ball from 5-600 ft. If you miss, it bounces really well. If it hits, it does cool stuff.

Me too. Weird. I had a woman tell me that when she was on top looking down, it made her boobies look bigger, but a little jowl-y. If she was on her back, the face was pulled back and she looked younger (a mini-facelift), but the boobies flattened out. Video isn't that flattering sometimes.

Upside Down Pics of normal dogs that were lying on their backs. They look odd and pretty crazy. After seeing those pics, I wonder how many people review their home videos. (Of course, Paris is always on top in her videos, so she doesn't need to worry. With all the time that she spends on her knees, she should learn to pack for me. )

Inadvertently, you've discovered how ridiculously small the topics are. People on this thread are discussing "one jump". This is one of the topics that is beat to death. The "what is a skydiver" question gets rehashed every 6 months. Somehow, being a skydiver "officially" has some different value that people have to define. So, there you have it. You have accidentally arrived as a forum topic on a topic that never goes away.

Exactly. Something that weighs as much as my house and it is just floating by. If I could get my house to do that, vacations would be a lot easier. I could just take my stuff along.

I work on the 10th floor. We watch clouds all day. I did a little research and found a good estimate for the amount of water in a general size cloud and its weight. Anyway, I just think it is cool that they float around. It's like f-in magic to see something that big just stroll by. Some days, they are all cruising by in the same direction at, say... 50 mph. Where are they all going? Ahhh... west.... heading for the beach... beautiful day to go to the beach. Something that weights 4 million kg is floating past. Under-appreciated magic.

Recipes I know quite a few fitness and nutrition types who love this website for their recipes. I know a few people who live in Las Vegas, but I never thought of Las Vegans as healthy eaters.

That is the choice. She presents herself as she truthfully is. Or, she could present the plastic soul-less politician image. Is the honesty is going to trouble people ? During the Clinton campaign, Hillary made some foul remarks about Tammy Wynette and women who stay home and bake cookies. Ok, she's an elitist politician attorney. Her choice, but she sneers at other women. However, later she backpedaled on that after an immediate public backlash (a skill that served her well in her recent campaign). The best part was her showing up in (gasp, not the blue robot suit) a nice print go-to-meetin' dress and sharing "her own" (insert eye-rolling icon) cookie recipe. Wow! Now she's a cookie baker. So, Hillary wasn't... was... wasn't... a cookie baking mom. Flip... flop... flip... flop. Nobody cared. American individuality and honesty are to be sacrificed for politics? That doesn't seem like a goal.

Some people want to control what people sound like and act like. She is proud to not be the Hill-erator. They must be angered by her diversity. The only one who troubles me is Jesse Jackson. His speeches sound like his writer was Dr. Seuss. If he came out with a red and white striped hat, it would be too obvious.

There are a lot of us that need to get laid - I think it is going to have to be more than 5% Try to go for "quantity" rather than "quality". The Chik-Filet drive thru IS going out to eat, just for women with different budget expectations.
