When voting (elections, amendments, etc) goes my way, I am pleased. In fact, when those of the opposite opinion continue to rant on afterwards, I respond with, "Get over it, you lost." If the voting was obviously rigged by the other side (because there was no way that people don't actually agree with me), then I protest loudly because we are being cheated. I have years of accumulated wisdom and know what is best for my less-intellectual (as I refer to them) brothers and sisters. So, if I am on the losing side of a voting mishap, it is incumbent upon me to continue to educate them for their own growth. It's just how I roll. Therefore, bear with me, I am here to help you.

Won't work. The same conditions that created the Taliban still exist at the core. After the USSR left Afghanistan, there was nothing left of a government structure. Eventually, the unpaid army became part of the lawlessness. One of the signature events was the killing of a merchant and rape of 2 girls. A mullah went to the army camp, killed the soldiers and hung the commander from a tank barrel. The Taliban provides a framework. A new framework of govt, education, employment, and safety needs to be provided.

booorriiiinnnggggg Every modern story is just a remake of something that's in the Bible. The dictionary contains all of the words ever used in any book. So instead of reading all those other books, it's much simpler to just read the dictionary once. And nothing is more important to freedom and prosperity than the Constitution. Whether a person agrees, or disagrees, I think it is funny that they express an opinion on your choices. The Foundation (series) by Isaac Asimov. It gives a good view of the flow of politics by framing it as science fiction. HHGG by Douglas Adams. Humor, but mainly growing the ability to see from perspective. Anything by John LeCarre. He could write a telephone book and I'd read. Just a wonderful style of writing that is entrancing.

Except the two aren't equivalent. As bad as, for instance, the USS Cole bombing was, the response to it could not have been much more than what was done. A terrorist attack that kills 17 can not realistically be responded to with a full scale invasion of a country (Sudan) in an attempt to catch the perpetrators. We sentenced 4 to jail. 10 years ago, the other 14 are still free. 2000 USS Cole - probably too late for him to do anything. The Saudis did most of the work it sounds like. In fact, they wouldn't allow the US to be part of it. I'm sure that Clinton had a great tv appearance and photo op and his hair look marvelous. If Clinton had went to in Afghanistan in 1995 (or better yet, 1993), OBL would have had other priorities. He was an MTV president, he should have been on the Real World show.
