Moving aside from your insinuated personal attack, we only have the word of the person in the article. Who is he? Why is he making this article and how much was he payed. This 'news story' in a comic possing as a newspaper is nothing but one persons uncooberated story? No doubt you think that its just a coincidence that of the two Glasgow wanabe suicide bombers one was an Iraqi and the other lived there for years. This 'story ' runs contary to the evidence. Also you clearly fail to notice the part where he says it was not entirely the motivation. Clearly therefore injustice in the Muslim world is a motivating factor, even this attention seeker admits that so why not just admit the bloody obvious. I find the fact that you clearly see this as an 'either/or' scenario funny and naive in equal measures. In real life things aren't balck and white, maybe you've just been away from home to long When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. It depends where you live to a degree. We're a small group of islands and are stupidly overcrowded. Although I don't think Muslims are persecuted more than any other ethno-religious group I do feel that the media use the Islamic terrorist bogeyman to justify lazy stories which often have very little substance. Unfortunatly we've had a government for the last ten years that had a symbiotic relationship with the media which turned nasty. Hopefully now we have a new Primeminister things might get a bit more rational although I think it won't take long for the media to turn against him because of it. Britain can be a very racist country but it can also be one of the most liberal places to live in the world. I agree but I don't know why they can't put in a venflon (IV Cannula) the day before flush it before hand and check that it is still patent. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -

This isn't small dog bite man stuff, maybe if you lived in the UK you'd feel differently. As for the original Tony legacy jibe, it was just that but seeing as you decided to bite I thought I'd crank. Next time maybe we can get a nice big tongue in cheek icon so you understand. Theres more goes on here than is reported a a viable device is more than can be said for either of the IED's (I use the term loosely) that were left in London. Maybe but maybe in time both sides can take baby steps towards such a peace. Both sides have alot of hate and anger to overcome, both sides have done unspeakable things to each other but maybe one day this can end. Not forgetting the Israelis who don't think the Palastinians should exist either. But that shouldn't change the possibility over time. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

I didn't make this a poll because I'm interested in your views and opinions. In time do you think that a one state solution for Israel/Palastine is possible. Personally I think this is the only viable long term solution, a state where both Arabs (Christian, Muslim et al) and Jews live in one state with equal rights for all. It will take a long time but in the end I belive that this can be the only real solution for peace. What do you think? Especially interested in Israeli and Jewish opinions but am interested in everyones opinions. NO, not likely. I think that fat guy who plays Sam would do a much better job at that part than GWB. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

I can only hope we're that competent. There is a difference however between concealing operationally sensitive information and suppressing the reportage of the discovery of a bombs in NI to make Tony Blair look good, which was the nonsense I was disputing. OK so why haven't these (all in the last NINE MONTHS) been in the news in England? Do you really think that if these had been done by Muslims that we wouldn't all have heard about them? So why didn't anyone read about these in English newspapers or see it on the news at ten? http://www.utvinternet.com/newsroom/indepth.asp?id=81446&pt=n http://www.newsletter.co.uk/ViewArticle.aspx?ArticleID=2693252&SectionID=3425 http://www.crosswalk.com/1205257/ http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/6320785.stm Only on BBC NI website. http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2006/10/26/europe/EU_GEN_NIreland_IRA_Dissidents.php http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/?jp=MHAUGBEYGBMH&rss=rss1 http://u.tv/newsroom/indepth.asp?id=77564&pt=n http://www.4ni.co.uk/northern_ireland_news.asp?id=61866 http://www.newsletter.co.uk/ViewArticle.aspx?SectionID=3425&articleid=1856274 http://www.newsletter.co.uk/ViewArticle.aspx?SectionID=3425&articleid=2230811 http://www.newsletter.co.uk/ViewArticle.aspx?SectionID=3425&articleid=2230816 Outside of Northern Ireland these events mainly aren't reported and even in NI they dissapear from the news as soon as they surface. My being here meant that I knew about these events whereas you didn't, do you think its just a coinicidence that bombs in this part of the UK are not reported whereas any possible Islamic terrorism investigation recieves spotlight attention and front page news? Can you seriously belive that there isn't a cover up over whats really going on in Northern Ireland? Can you really not see why it would not be in the governments interest to keep quite the fact that bombs are reguarly planted in the UK. So you're saying there's a BBC conspiracy to make Blair look good? Would you like some cheese with that whine? Never here of a DA notice? News from NI often is restricted under a DA-Notice 05 or DA-Notice 01 As for the cheese maybe you can put it back in your ears close you eyes and keep on humming. maybe, police aren't yet saying that its even a terrorist attack. It does sound like a botched suicide bombing though. If so it goes to show what a bunch of third rate untrained/poorly trained wanabe terrorists they are. Funny how it makes news here and all around the world when this year alone at least three bombs that I know of have been discovered in Northern Ireland and no one heard a bloody thing. The figures, alas, do not bear any of this out. On governmental aid, the OECD says that the US comes 22nd in a league table of 22 western countries, handing over just 0.14 per cent of its gross national product, compared with Britain's 0.34 per cent, France's 0.41 per cent or Norway's 0.92 per cent. On funds donated overseas by private citizens, the US-based Centre for Global Development calculates that Americans give less per capita than the Swiss or Irish or Norwegians: private donations amount to just five cents per American per day, compared (say) with 24 cents per Norwegian per day. It is certainly true that Americans give extensively to charities, though the reasons are not widely understood in Britain. They receive substantial tax breaks for charitable contributions; if you earn $100,000 a year and donate $10,000 of that to charity, for example, you will be taxed only on $90,000. The American Association of Fundraising Counsel says that roughly $240bn was donated to charity by Americans in 2003. But 98 per cent of this never went beyond US shores. I take no pleasure in documenting this lack of generosity by Americans to overseas causes, but the United States is clearly in need of a reality check. http://www.newstatesman.com/200501100004 Next!
