  1. Hi Nigel, I have to agree with your observations. However the North of England does tend to be more racist in general, I was seeing a Yorkshire lass a few years ago, she was lovely but got all hell from her family for dating a 'Paki' and I was born in England and am as Darius so quaintly puts it a Tan person (Love that description, always used to say coffe coloured) There a good reason why the BNP have so much sucess in the North of England. Although the BNP managed to get one seat on the London Assembly their real powerbase is in the North of England , winning a council seat in Lancashire and Leistershire, and MEPs for Yorkshire and the Humber, and Northwest England. The conservative lady was Baroness Warsi, I agree that she was very impressive. There were some points on rampant uncontroled imigration that she actually agreed on with Nick Griffen. She's right as well, the UK is a small place and its way to overcrowded, the Government has no idea on how many people are coming into the country and staying. 6. That sucks. All that brings is more separation. Thats what he was saying to he has just stopped hanging around with anyone else. Just because who wants to be fucked with all the time. I wouldn't say it was that bad. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

  8. Tension is elevated for Tan people for sure. I now spend a lot of time in Ireland where there isn't a problem (Until I open my gob and they hear a English accent) It depends in the UK where you are and what is going on but I put it like this I sure as hell wouldn't run in an airport carrying a backpack if you know what I mean. 9. The far right can (and do) hold rallys and make speechs in the UK too. Yes, it was. Here in the US, groups such as the KKK are allowed to hold rallies and make speeches (we had one where they spoke from the steps of the Capitol building in Madison). That's what freedom of speech really means. That you let even the ones you hate express their views. The really ugly ones usually just shoot themselves in the foot with their own mouth (mixed metaphor, but you know what I mean). Bring them out into the light and show the world what they are really about. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 10. You can say that you hate someone or a group of people however you can't incite hatred or violence, there is a difference. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

  13. Islam is a religion of justice, as they define it. And their definition of justice is questionable. As is your understanding of Islam When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  14. TV in Britain is government controlled. They have folks driving around in vans with electronics that show which people are actually watching TV. If they aren't paying the tax, then the government comes down on them. Not quite correct. Only the BBC is funded by the licence fee, the other stations are commercially independant companies. 15. Nope. Clearly your understanding of Islam is very limited. There are people who claim to be Muslims who preach violence, just as there are Christians and Jews who do the same. That doesn't mean that they are representative of their faiths either. There are passages in the Koran, Torah and Bible which advocate seperation and violence against those who do not believe. There are also verses in all three which say the opposite. Yet the vast overwhelming majority of adherants to all three religions are peaceful people. Anyway, this thread isn't about Islam but the BBC and the BNPs right to freedomm of speech. 16. Exactly. Is Ireland producing educating citizens? The program is a Uk program not a Irish one. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  17. So, Muslim preachers can preach hate, and that's not breaking the law? I don't have any dual standards on this one. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  18. Ok, for the sake of objectivity....erm...No, absolutly nothing about him was redeming. Although I do agree that imigration is out of control, but there again Baroness Warsi said the same thing. 19. Very interesting programe. Jack Straw was very strong on the attack, very weal in defence. Baroness Warsi was great. Nick Griffen did proberbly more to loose votes for the BNP tonight than at any time upto now. He came over as insincere, untrustworthy, creepy and a total liar. I had expected him to be more personable actually. Undoubtedly letting him on the show was the right thing to do. 20. Thats funny As to your question, the point of the programme (which is on every week) is to have interesting and open debate to inform the public of different views from often public figures and polititians. I suppose the point of the show is to stimulate wider debate in society. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 23. Hey there Lil Yank The BBC is a public broadcaster paid for by licence fee of the British public. Yes they do if its a party political broadcast. However Question Time the programme in question is a current affairs programme where guests answer questions from the public audience. I don't think the guests are paid but I could be wrong. One can not incite racial or religious hatered, one can not incite violence. Incitement to violence, incitment of racial and religious hatred are arrestable offences and on conviction are punishable by imprisonment. The BBC would be punished by OFCOM their regulatory body and would have sever fines. 24. 25. Of course the other argument is what if he is changing the party? (Far fetched but not impossible) after all didn't the Italian Facist party change direction? What if we had kept the ban on Sinn Fein not being able to broadcast,Adams and McGuiness would have been undermined and quite possibly we'd still have major problems in Northern Ireland. What if Griffen can change the BNPs direction? Also even if he isn't going to go down that route (Much more likely) the fear of the Far Right might just be enough for the Conservative party to move back to its traditional ground which at the moment the BNP are exploiting.
