  1. Top notch smoker....... "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' No matter what you tell them, they refuse to believe you" Agent Carr FBI
  2. This is getting totally confusing - HOW old was LD in 1971 and 1973. PER what I have read he was only 33 yrs OLD - and now he is 43 yrs old in 1971 - SO WHICH IS IT? Very confusing. The skyjacker was mid 40's to late 40's. the records are a little confusing. his gravestone and death cert says 9/17/1931. but this can't be right because his older brother was born in 1931. I have several documents and evidence pointing to a 1933 birth for LD. this would make him 38 in 1971. I was referring to LD age (41 or 43) in 1973 when he married Marcia (19). He was more than twice her age. What did he have that she wanted? Such age differences in marriages are rare and was probably more so back then. Finding any information on brother Dewey is very difficult for some reason. I have seen a military reference which I currently can't find. ok, my mistake let's see what smokin99 can find on Dewey. I have found records of LD and Marla's father, but not Dewey. there might not be any....we will see I guess. 4. no Marcia was not as far as I know. she is the one not talking to anyone. my guess would be that she knows he had nothing to do with the hijacking. she was also the one who paid for his plot at the cemetery. we already have problems. if Marcia is not an agent. then who did he marry in between Becky and Marcia. once again it's not adding up. you have the wrong birthdates. if he was born in 1933 he would be 38 years old, if it was 1931 he would be 40 in 1971 with no records of Dewey being in the service means nothing until records surface. living by a military base is not big news to anyone. 5. Maybe you should be telling these things to BK. I am not the Evil One, nor am I the first joker around here to go off-topic occasionally. And the next time that Meyer goes with a long all-caps post that is nothing but insults, and has nothing to do with Cooper...make sure you say something about that, too. It's been his only reason for existence here for a while now. Fair is fair. Robert, you seem to be missing the point once again. BK is not advertising anything. there is nothing in the rules about "story telling" Quade feels that BK has a right to tell his story. I disagree with this point because he has been caught so many times being deceptive it's nothing but a story. why do you think you are being picked on by so many people? could they all be wrong and Mr. Blevins is always right? I wouldn't count on that. even when you are wrong you feel the need to continue pushing the issue causing post after post about something you are wrong on. case and point would be this post. I am far from perfect. I have been called many names on here, but I don't let it get to me. I try my best to help resolve things that are relevant to the topic at hand. I have two other Cooper pages off this thread, but do not link them for personal gain or money. I try to explain things to you without the name calling and bold letters etc. etc. but you do make it very hard to hold back I must admit. perhaps you could take the money you claim you are making from this site and put it into advertising on the side or bottom of this thread? or would this bust the bank in your part time gig? now, this will be my last post about this issue, after all it's "off topic" to begin with. let it go.......... 6. Wonderful...let me tell you something...there is a time and place for everything, this is not that place. charity or not, your still sending out a promotional posting. radio station give things out all the time, pay thousands to charity, but you can rest assure they will have the logo of the station all over the place. bottom line is, nothing of this sort belongs on this page...period. you take things to the extreme with everything said. I have to get up early in the morning so I don't have time to do post after post explaining things to you....it doesn't B-E-L-O-N-G on here...... 7. this stuff does not belong on here.....simple.. "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' No matter what you tell them, they refuse to believe you" Agent Carr FBI
  8. "Below is a picture of the glasses he wore - the wife is holding the glasses up so I had to turn the damn thing upside down to get the pic." ok Jo, I made a pic giving Duane glasses on his Jefferson photo. no shots from the peanut gallery, I did this in about 10 minutes "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' 9. Then notice her answer to the next question. I have done italics on the key sections, top and bottom questions. ***Robert: There has been much research done on the famous Dan Cooper comic book. Even the F.B.I. lists it as a possible clue on their website on the D.B. Cooper page. The comic is in French, and was mostly distributed in France, Belgium, eastern Canada, and some other parts of Europe. Very few copies reached the United States. Yet, you claim L.D. Cooper had several copies pinned to the wall of his bedroom at your grandmother's house. Do you have any theories on how he might have obtained them? Marla Cooper: Yes I do. He had a car. I'm pretty sure he could drive it. The trek to Canada isn't impossible under those circumstances. One of my theories is that he bought them in Canada. Since I only saw him once a year, he had plenty of time to do things I wasn't privy to. However, it's more logical to me that he discovered 'Dan Cooper' while serving in the Navy during the Korean War. As anyone can see, first Marla claims someone in her family told her LD was a paratrooper. But in another answer, she says he was in the Navy, and even knew where he served. Obvious discrepancy here. Here's the basic record again: I never said LD was a paratrooper, nor did anyone else. someone said this though.... "If I understand correctly, Dewey was a Paratrooper and worked for the Airlines. " quote is from testxyz...... "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' No matter what you tell them, they refuse to believe you" Agent Carr FBI
  10. none of what you mention above has been proven other than it's possible Dewey worked for Boeing. have you seen Dewey's military records? why is the birthdates relevant??? if the actual date is 1933, this makes LD pretty young to fit the description of someone in there mid 40's to early 50's. plus he has huge sideburns that would appear to be very noticeable by witnesses. they claim small sideburns. exactly how did someone train LD to jump out of the back of a 727? have you seen any proof of the marriage to an FBI agent? the worse thing you can do is take the word of someone without checking the facts. why has this woman stayed silent? no charges can be filed, so no reason to hide. in a story or mystery such as this. you must show some kind of proof of what you are talking about, or it's just a good story....... this part is for RobertMBlevins " the announcement above is just a courtesy" a courtesy to who? that post doesn't belong on here period! no spamming aloud!!!! 11. I think you know a lot about lies Knoss. stop feeding, your stomach is going to burst......who was TOG Matt asked you once....your reply...Bill Rataczak of course... what kind of business does Dave Haapala have. BK says , in communication.....wrong again.. shall I go on truth seeker?????? lmao Twist all you want. The facts are as I have stated and YOU can't deal with the truth. Mr. Cleaner man. Shutter-upper.TOG could be Bill, I didn't say that, Matt did. Dave was a NW pilot, friend of Bill's. I worked for his dad as part of my "protective custody" in the barren wastelands of N.D. after my session with John Anderson. Bite me. If you knew anything at all you would know not to push it. I will push all I want Bobby!!! you are the one twisting things....all talk...cheap at that. what were the two things Dave Haapala did according to your comments in the past? you can do it "memory man" you have nothing but a bunch of garbled BS. how did you get out of the witness protection program...lmao can't wait to hear that one...... 12. "Uh...I haven't said any of my relatives did the Cooper Thing. And there is a distinct difference between Marla, Jo, and myself." Uh....I never said that. I said it would be funny having the three of you in one room.......would the real DB Cooper stand up. all 3 of ya would jump up "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' 13. here are some more things I found last year. marriage license of Willie Clyde Cooper. it shows him falling in the correct order of birth. website of the family plot. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mobarry/cemetery/mikeman/mikeman-1.htm "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' 14. yes, I understand what the grave says. we have conflicting records of birth. it doesn't add up to 1931.could you explain how his brother was born 8/11/1931? Social Security says this as well. (see photo) Marla admitted something was wrong on here in 2012, I'll look for it. if you did any research you would find that the cemetery also has conflicting dates. something is wrong here some where. Lynn D Cooper use to be on Social Security death index, can't find him now? here is Marla's response on Jan 30, 2012 this is part of the family tree. note that Dewey is born before LD, just as Marla said. so we know Dewey's birth is correct. I think the death certificate info is just wrong for whatever reason. On the 1940 census LD was 6 (census was in April of 1940, so that means that LD would have been 7 in September of 1940 - putting him born in 1933). Dewey was 8 yrs old on that census. One reference that I've seen puts LD's birthdate as September 12, 1933. So not real sure about the day, but the month is most likely September and the year is most likely 1933. Maybe he lied about his age at some point or --more likely -- whoever he was with at the time of death gave the wrong information to the funeral home and they got lazy and didn't double check it or didn't go back and fix it once they realized it was wrong. Thanks smoke99....I didn't think I had this wrong, sadly it seems his headstone is wrong. this makes him 38 in 1971. I also believe the two photo's I showed are a little more than 8 or 10 months apart, and probably not around 71 either if I were to guess. the guy has records of movement everywhere. this is strange for someone in hiding. why would you be in hiding when nobody is looking for you???????? too many holes. thanks for the update. I have done quite a bit of genealogical research in the past couple of decades and I can guarantee you that you shouldn't believe either the birth/death dates or even the name on the grave stone without further corroboration. Robert99 understood. I did do a lot of research on this back in Jan of 2012. lot's of things add up to an age of 1933 vs 1931. we now have the census report showing his age. we have a marriage license with 1933 on it. I realize a license can be altered. we have military records of him at 1951, subtract 18 and you get the lucky number of 1933. the cemetery has different ages, they didn't agree with 1931. Sisters Oregon reports his age at 13 in 1946. we have Marla claiming Dewey was older..... something is wrong here with his age...... 18. I seen your video. she has a lot of hurdles to get over. I found an age problem with Lynn. according to his death cert. his birth is only 30 days apart from his brother Dewy who was born 8/11/1931. LD was born 9/17/1931??? his military records show enlistment of 1951, subtract 18 years and you have a 1933 birth date. one marriage license also records a birth of 9/17/1933. school records show 1933. this makes LD only 38 in 1971. I need a lot more proof of her story. lot's of people seem to have a good story surrounding Cooper, but fall short of actual evidence. I never checked Arizona for marriage records, but will see what I can dig up. what are your thoughts on the photo's I attached to my last post...... here is a picture of a home similar to what Granny had in Sisters Oregon. where exactly did LD and Dewy have separate rooms? it wasn't exactly the home she portrayed it as..... "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' No matter what you tell them, they refuse to believe you" Agent Carr FBI
  19. I put up two pics that according to Marla would be less than a year apart. plus I found evidence of marriage in 1971 of a Lynn D Cooper married Becky Jo Defoe. I have lot's of records showing him in Reno, not Arizona at these times..... "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' 20. until you come up with something other than stories from family, your not going to get anywhere. Marla is back out looking for attention, swearing LD was Cooper. lot's of people saying lot's of things. however, backing them up always seems to take second place...... when looking at this from the outside as I do, one can be amazed how family members want to prove a relative committed a capitol crime........I would love to be a fly on the wall in the room with Marla, Blevins and Jo..... 21. Good stuff, liked the vids "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' No matter what you tell them, they refuse to believe you" Agent Carr FBI
  22. I can't seem to find an age limit on Federal prison inmates. Clarence Carnes was sent to Leavenworth at age 18, and then was sent to Alcatraz under the age of 21. age 19 to be accurate. this was the same time period as Duane. "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' No matter what you tell them, they refuse to believe you" Agent Carr FBI
  23. this was said on April 13, 2013. mrshutter wrote: "what judge would send you to prison right off the bat for a crime, unless it was violent or a very serious crime. forging checks is not that bad a crime to go to prison as a first time offender. even back then. but I could be wrong if documents prove other wise." you responded with this" WHOA! YOU are too young to know that. The check was a federal check he forged and Duane had been kicked out the NAVY and ARMY. THe judge was a hard liner - sent others to McNeil bearly over the legal age. He was no LENIENT especially if there was any military breaches. "What would put a young man in prison in 1940's U guys today get a slap on the wrist and told to go home and a good boy. Unless you were part of the system in 1940's suggest U do some research about that era! Do NOT be so QUICK to judge and tell an old woman who had done the research that it was NOT so." once again this appears not to be the case. the two articles clearly state he violated his probation (just as I thought) placed on probation Sept. 19, 1944 Nov. 26, 1944 he steals $5 from a purse in Illinois. 15 days in jail, probably sent to California after sentence. I don't know how it was in the 40's but they hold VOP'S for 10 days with no bail until you see the Judge. Duane pissed the Judge off by leaving town, so, he threw him in prison. since they thought he was 24? or what ever age. how did they know they tossed a 20 year old in a Federal prison? the two articles can't be that far off from the truth. if Duane wasn't there in November of 44, how did they write the articles? (VOP stands for violation of probation or parole) 2011 you stated he was awaiting trial and took off. this doesn't match known records. "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' No matter what you tell them, they refuse to believe you" Agent Carr FBI
  24. this doesn't seem to be the case in the area's needed (70-71) or they would be on his taxes? what ever you did with Duane was years past 1971. it appears they were not making a lot of money (per tax form) in 71. where did the travel expenses come from? Duane would have had to find money to fly or drive to Portland. it seems we have him on the east coast in 1971. Duane was in prison pretty much from 1945-1962. the Ohio records should lock the remaining years down from 1946-1950. Duane is confessing to 5 years in Ohio in the St Pete article. none of these records really do anything other than show he has changed his name and age over the years trying to conceal his past. this is typical of a career criminal. based on the charges Duane has faced over the years. I find it extremely difficult to believe he could pull the hijacking off. I could be wrong, but his track record kind of speaks for itself. let's see what light Ohio brings to the table......... 25. "Duane worked for multiple insurance companies at one time." why is American Income Life the only one listed on the tax forms? 70-71 I guess they are living off of Garage Sales and Flea Markets Sold personal items for $1500 Works for American Income but make little money - 1099 reflect about a total of about $2300 for whole yr (this was Commissions reporte on 1099). Wife: The Singer Company Robinson Skipper (Columbia S.C) Total Income for both was $3733.17.
