Right now i have no crossbraced love, im trying to find something. Maybe ill show up with my samuri.
-
I exit headdown and transition to back/feet as the drogue is set. In small doors i exit hanging kind of sidways from the back of the door frame. Big doors with bar, front float. Cessna with a strut hanging underneath strut with my back to the wind.

Yeah, vlc is working great for me too. Im just trying to figure out why quicktime and FCP aren't having it. The are advertised to work with h.264. adam

What quicktime plugin is that? Im curious as to why my quicktime doesn't play it. I have the latest pro version. It recognizes it as a h.264 video and it is supposed to be able to play h.264 but i just get sound. Any ideas? And Dan thanks for putting this together. Very useful. adam

The uppers picked up and people were getting held back on base leg. I missed judged the setup and ended up low and bailed from a left 450 to a right 270. Ended up looking at the course from so far away. A vertical didn't even enter my thoughts. I barely made it to zone 1. The vertical was very close and took alot of review. Of course i think i was in :) If only i would have dropped my foot a few inches, doh. Grats to Connie, way to kick some ass and hit those gates.

Slack lines = bad

Im sure one of these will show up at a ground launching comp soon, being half the price of the glx and all. Then we can stop judging from a short video. adam

Lots of spanwise oscillation. Certainly doesn't look as stable as a GLX or any crossbraced skydiving canopy. Lines seem sort. Probably has a hell of a roll rate, good for a tight blade course i would think. Airfoil is definitely thinker(slower but more lift?) than a crossbraced skydiving wing or a glx, or probably any high performance skydiving wing. If flown and watched the glx fly and from watching that video the glx seems more rigid with less anhedral arc. That video did have the best fotage of flying to skying/flying transitions i have ever seen. This is great though, more people thinking about it and innovating and putting it in front of peoples eyes. Exciting times for ground launchers. Cheaper better toys. Woohoo, parachutes are fun! adam

I can do it rotating the left foot and writing with the left or right hand. But not when using the right food with either hand. Odd.

Thanks dude you rock.

Me, Me, I want one. I've been waiting to try out that service. Just send it to my dropzone.com email account. Pretty please.

There is some good info on the subject here: http://www.greenharbor.com/fffolder/ffallers.html

So what is the story behind the hong kong approach?
-
In the long term it will end up cheaper. The initial conversion will be expensive though, depending on the skill level of you staff.

Clicky I've always wanted a parrot, but with my luck the one i got would probably end up mute.
-
Wow, i missed the ones on the bottom, they are even more amazing then the others. Holy crap. I wonder what they look like in person.
-
Clicky Some of these are really deceiving to the eye.

Yes, those same issues poped into my head, i wonder how they plan on addressing them.

yahoo.com One of the best uses of genetic engineering i've ever seen.

They have radar altimeters, but they only work a certian distance from the ground and only at certian atitudes. He may have been out of that envelope when he started the manuver or he may have just looked at the other one.
-
Fighter craft usually have rader altimeters as well. Bitchin' betty was probably screaming her head off. PULL UP...PULL UP...PULL UP....

The Hollister King Air does 2000fpm all the way to 15k on cold days. It's a nice plane. adam

If stuff goes down after being posted on this site it is probably becasue it is has been posted other places as well. The amount of people on this site doesn't even begin to touch some other sites out there: slashot, fark, etc.

I think this car will have now rival if it is produced: http://autoshow.msn.com/as/autoshow2004/article.aspx?xml=chrysler1&shw=autoshow2004 And i think it will be now that the other two american car companies have models that are competing with the viper performance wise. If those projected numbers are correct this thing will smash all kinds of production car records. 850hp 850torque 2800lbs 0-60 2.9secs. Looks like a NSX on PCP.
