  3. "I sat on the computer chatting to other skydivers I've never even met before..." Amen! And got paid good hourly wages to do it, too! A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
  4. Actually, you may not be too far off. Over fourth of july weekend, I learned that I have horrible shellfish allergies ... ugh. I lost so much hydration from the "post lunch lurch," that I had to go to the emergency room to be put on fluids. The worst part is is this was on Block Island, and we had taken my brother's Cessna there ... no way back but to fly, and that ain't easy on an upset tummy. 5. So I have 2 and a half hours left until the weekend begins, and nobody seems to be posting anything! What? Do you guys actually expect me to get work done? Sheesh! A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
  6. Hey, yeah! And then we can work out a way to make Dida's boob picture into ascii. This way, phreezone won't get into trouble, and we can all look at boobs!! A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
  7. See, that's what's really funny about me. I don't pretend. It is just the way I am. I don't notice other's differences - I see "samenesses". There is no pretense. It's just how I am. Does this mean that do not see differences at all? Or that you choose to see samenesses rather than differences? These are not exactly the same. As I've been sitting here thinking about this (hey, thanks all for making me think at work!!), I guess when I get to know somebody on a personal level, those samenesses and differences distill a bit and just become who that person is to me. It's a lot easier to categorize people whom you do not know. Still, there are tons of people out there that I will never get to know personally, and I want to be able to humanize people that I don't know, too I think this lost a lot of meaning in the typing... 8. I just read your story, wow! I'll be making my level III jump soon, and I hope that I can keep my head together as well as you did should something go wrong... A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
  9. click[replybutton]Type your post[/replybutton]again That's not working. I hit the Quote link on the outer screen, and the reply appears in my textbox. Then, I click in the textbox, begin typing (the words appear in a large font), and when I preview the post, nothing that I had typed appears, only the "In reply to" stuff. 10. Now commonly referred to as doing a "Bono" or a "Michael Kennedy". At least if it were a Michael Kennedy, I could blame it on the football! On the other hand, this is proof that in some cases stupidity is painful.
  11. I know it's okay. This has become quite a heated thread! However, we're still hearing people say it doesn't matter, but they are still insinuating (sp?) and presuming. Until (and it will never happen), we can just accept people for who they are without putting a "label" on them, things will always be the same. (I know this will be lost through printed words and not spoken words) I don't know, I've found this issue rather paradoxical. On the one hand, we should accept each other's differences, but should the differences be a non-issue? Should we pretend we do not notice other people's differences? That to me seems as narrow-minded and counter-productive as being prejudiced in the first place. On the other hand, to value and appreciate these differences by its very nature makes an issue out of them. It's a thorny issue, I guess. A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
  12. However, I also find that particular book sort of offensive. The difference being that this was intended to be a joke and just wasn't funny. Their book is supposed to be serious advice and is seriously stupid. [#003366]That's the big problem. Stupid people read this shit, take it seriously, and that's how women end up getting raped.[/#003366] A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
  13. Yeah I know. And it always sucks when ski patrol has to go out looking for you after the lifts close. LOL! I can't tell you how many times in my younger days I'd watch those woods approach but be completely unable to make myself turn! A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
  14. Finally an area I can give some advice on....Always use the hill. If you are going too fast for your skill, you're not traversing enough. If you head up hill, you will always slow down. It's the law of gravity. Safe skiing and blue skies.
  15. My only question is this. Us hetereosexuals on here love to express how much we like BOOBIES! Are you all going to start saying things like PENISES in reply? Kind of like a tastes great less filling thing? Well, what about MAN-BOOBS!?!? A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

  18. I've searched a few times through this forum, and haven't found an answer to my question. I apologize if I'm surfing old terrain, so simply pointing me in the right direction will suffice. When I try to quote people's posts when I reply, often my text does not appear in the post. Am I doing something wrong in the text window? A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

  20. Y'know, back when I worked for a porno company, I would have gotten in trouble if there weren't any nipples on my screen while working... May I ask what your job was? Did you enjoy it? Or was it basically like any other job...fun at first, then just another day at the office? A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
  21. This is a really good question, actually. I was wondering this the other day. Not to cross threads here, but my interest did not come from the Extreme nature of the sport - I really am not interested in bungee jumping, or bull running, or whatever. Maybe it's just because when you have a dream at night about being able to fly, waking up to reality is so disappointing. I guess this is as close as I'll get.
