That is too funny... I've gotta get one of those for my dude to run around the house in! I think their facial expressions probably have something to do with the weed they just smoked...

I still use Yahoo most of the time.... mostly out of habit because I've been using them for ten years... but if I don't find what I'm looking for then I'll try Google or WebCrawler. I'll sometimes use Ask.com (Ask Jeeves) if I have a specific question... I would guess Yahoo & Google are the most important to register with (maybe AOL & MSN too)... though it kinda sucks that Yahoo started charging businesses to register in their directories. (I think that will eventually hurt them)... Oh, and yes - I do often go to the sponsored links on Yahoo... I realize that they've paid to be at the top, but often they turn out to be exactly what I was looking for anyway...

hehehe.... Thanks, Zeemax.... I'm lovin' it!

Oh come on, guys... Can't we all just get along??? I think it's time for a GROUP HUG!
-
Definitely a better option than LAX... I don't know the distance, but you can get to Perris from Ontario in about an hour or less, and from LAX will usually take around 2 1/2 hours because of the traffic.

Hey, I found a picture! Doesn't he look cute??? The hat definitely makes the outfit!
-
Sorry dude, I was gonna outbid you... but they wouldn't let me bid since I'm in the US. Just be glad it wasn't a mannequin...
-
I was just coming here to suggest that too... "Location" or "Home DZ" would be good. (Or is that just too much stuff to have in a "mini profile"???) The changes are great! Thanks, sangiro!

And if he did, where is the picture?

Steve has a helicopter now??? Hmm, I may have to go back and visit you guys... I could sure use some of that good BBQ too... Perris has been known to party pretty hard when the sun goes down... There's a full bar on the dz, and a swimming pool... Bonfires are fairly common, and for certain parties they'll have a live band or a dj with a dance floor set up... Hmm, sometimes Perris is a bit too much fun actually... San Marcos was a lot of fun too (my home dz)... it's a different vibe from Perris, but very laid-back and cool... (How could you not have a good time with Captain Loud around?)

Oh... Oops! My excuse is that I am braindead today. Now I get it.

Surely you can't be serious.

If I rent a rig and then have a reserve ride (no matter who packed it), I would expect to pay for the reserve repack. I would also expect to pay for any part of the gear that I lost or damaged. Pro-rating the repack sounds like a good idea though... It's not something I would expect, but I would think you were a really nice person to do that for me.

Ok, that's what I thought the issue was. It was just starting to sound like a lot of people were thinking that money would solve the problem... but obviously it wouldn't because there are plenty of disrespectful people who can afford $20 a year. Hell, not only that, but if they were paying to use the site then they would feel even that much more entitled to complain about everything...

So does money have anything to do with why TalkBack is shut down at the moment??? I was not under the impression that money had anything to do with it... (but I honestly don't know!) (This question is not necessarily aimed at you, Keith... just replying to you since you started this post - which I assume has something to do with TalkBack being down??) It seems to me that things were just getting out of control and that maybe sangiro and the moderators (hey, that sounds like some sort of band name!) just need some time to figure out how to control things a bit better??? But I'm only guessing... This is a great website, and I've watched it improve so much over the last few years. I think it's a very valuable resource for the skydiving community (in so many different ways), and I would really hate to see sangiro get so fed up with it that he decides to shut it down... Now if money is an issue, most of the other forums that I use offer a free "basic" membership and then a fee to use the advanced features, so maybe something like that could be implemented on this site too...

The difference here is that there is a general consensus that if you step in front of a moving bus you will get hurt. There is no consensus about what happens when we die. So yelling at someone who is about to step in front of a bus would probably be appreciated, but yelling your opinion about what might happen after a person dies is a completely different story and will most likely be taken as an annoyance.

Ah, that makes sense... Do they use Avid Xpress? Edit: Or do I mean Avid Media Composer???? Not sure which is which, but do they use Avid?
-
That's good to know. Thanks for all the answers... What software do you use? I've been teaching myself to use Premiere and just started thinking it would be fun to edit skydiving videos (but I'm not a camera flyer). When I get better at the editing, maybe I'll check with Perris or Elsinore about it...

Very, very much so I'm afraid. Yuck, sorry to hear about that. This is another reason I would not want to change the healthcare system in the US. I would definitely prefer to keep paying for my own health insurance rather than paying for mine and everyone else's healthcare through higher taxes (and having more of a hassle to receive care because of a "public" system). Some people want to change that over here, but it just seems like a bad idea to me... I had my wisdom teeth taken out for free through a medical study. That was pretty cool - all I had to do was evaluate the pain meds.
-
Just curious... Do dropzones ever hire people just to edit video, or do the camera flyers always edit their own videos?
-
You're on a waiting list to have your wisdom teeth removed??? Is that typical in the UK???

Oh, well if it has incest in it, then I must see it! (just kidding) And to happythoughts: Is this the scene from Boxing Helena? (I haven't seen that movie either, but in searching for pictures from Meridian, I found this...) http://www.celebritymoviearchive.com/tour/movie.php/6524 NSFW

I haven't seen that. Is it a sexy movie? Seems like I remember reading that book when I was a kid. Isn't it some creepy story about some kids who are locked in the attic or something?
