I guess I was lumping the "higher power" belief into my "some sort of god" statement. To me, it's the same thing... but that's just my personal belief. Of course, like everyone else, I may be right or I may be wrong.
-
I agree with this. I am more interested in the decisions they are making than whatever "force" is behind those decisions. But I still look forward to a day when people, including our political leaders, are driven by their own morals rather than by some sort of god. Of course, this is idealistically assuming that most people are capable of having their own good morals, which I'm not particularly convinced of at this time.
-
As if that were some sort of desirable goal . . Well, if you did not believe in God then you would probably feel the same way. I have given this a lot of thought, and I can understand that if a political leader truly believes in God then they probably feel it is their duty to mention God in public speeches and even involve God in their important decisions. I understand where they are coming from, and I can tolerate it to some extent... But imagine if a Muslim was elected President, and his/her speeches often made reference to Allah. Or a Wiccan was made President and often referred to the Goddess. Obviously this is just an example, as neither situation is likely to happen anytime soon, but assuming it did happen... How would you feel about it then? Are you only tolerant of it now because you believe in the same God? Or would you still be tolerant of religion mixed with politics if suddenly the religion involved a different god than what you believe in?

I was very impressed by Ron Jr.'s speech. I liked Obama's too, until he started talking about God. But I think we're a long way off from having political leaders who don't mention God, so I guess I should just get over it... Teresa's speech was interesting, though I got distracted and wasn't able to listen to it as closely as I wanted to. Oh, and... Nice dalmation award, quade.

This proves the existence of a God. And it also proves that she likes me. Well, now that I think of it... There is that camera in the Bombshelter... but hopefully they don't keep the videos from that!

Sorry, no video (that I know of).
-
Hmm... I think I can arrange for you to have a much lower number on the list.

OH. Well, if there is a Mrs. Revjim then there might be some loss of limb after a groping of the Rack(tm)! (unless he has permission from the Mrs., of course )
-
The trick is to issue the correct amount of Red Bull and Vodka. Then she might appreciate a groping of the Rack(tm).
-
Ok, I have added you to the list. Your number is 3694. Please wait patiently and listen for your number to be called.
-
I believe I have groped the Rack(tm) before.

You called???

KESQ -- Perris Skyventure -- Press Clips
Shotgun replied to quade's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
OK, how do I get that price? I just paid $117 for 10 minutes. It's good that the tunnel is getting some media attention. -
Hmm, I don't see this at all at my dz (Perris). I get along fine with the other women there. In fact, the few people I can think of at the dz who I don't like are all males.

I like your sig line. That is so true. And I know exactly how you feel about your nephews. (And they are very cute, BTW!) I have a really cool relationship with my nephew, Baylor. I think his smile makes me happier than anything else in the world. I recently got to fly in a wind tunnel with him, and he was smiling from ear to ear the whole time.

For anyone who is interested, here is a link to their "getting started" guide. This explains the main differences in gmail: http://gmail.google.com/gmail/help/start.html Personally, I just wanted an account to check it out. I'm pretty happy with my Yahoo Mail Plus account (especially now that Google has given them some real competition - their services have improved remarkably), and I'll probably continue to use Yahoo for my primary mail account even though it's fun to check out gmail's new ideas.

I think that commercial is hilarious too.

I had my account for two or three weeks before it let me invite anyone. I still have a couple of invites if anyone wants one... just PM me your full name & email address.

It was posted here a couple years ago. Oh, ok... I thought you meant it was some sort of old Atari game or something.
-
NO! Don't get me started on that! I got addicted to playing that on Yahoo Games for a while. It is evil. I didn't know it was a game from the past though. I was sure it was gonna be Tetris when I clicked on it (but I was wrong)... that's another evil addictive game.

Thanks... Is that from Mozilla's website?
-
I went to that site (http://www.us-cert.gov/), but I am not finding anything telling people to stop using IE. Maybe I'm just missing it??? (I'm kinda slow sometimes. ) I see a warning about IIS, and some vulnerabilities in IE (along with steps you can take to make it more secure)... but nothing specifically saying not to use IE, or which browser they would recommend using??? I'm really curious about this... I also use Mozilla, Netscape and Opera, but I honestly like IE the best at this time. But if one of the others is truly a lot more secure, then I might consider switching... I just haven't found anyone that can convince me either way yet.
-
This article doesn't make much sense. First, they say this: Then they say this: So why would they be telling people to stop using IE when the problem exists in any browser using ActiveX controls or html rendering engines? And they don't say anything at all about which browsers they do recommend using... (they specifically say that Mozilla might not be any better).

See! We really don't think alike! I was sitting here thinking about how that pizza I ate was really good! Lmao...and I was thinking about drinks w/y'all this weekend! Hmm, and NOW I'm thinking about yummy pizza, drinks with friends, and a hunky dude - sounds like a good party to me!
-
Actually, you may be right about that... because I think we're all thinking the same thing right now - that that is one cute little hottie with you in your avatar! (Well, you're a cute little hottie too, of course!) Hope to see you tomorrow!
