McDonalds does not cause obesity. Eating too much and not exercising are some of the things that might cause obesity, but not McDonalds alone. The guy in the movie gained 25 pounds in a month because he ate way too much food and did not exercise; I'm pretty sure he would gave gained the weight if he had eaten the same amount of food from anywhere. I eat junk food (including McDonalds) fairly often - and have been eating that stuff for almost 30 years, and I weigh about 105 pounds. If the people at McDonalds ask me if I want to supersize anything, I tell them no (because I can't eat that much food)... no different than turning down most of the other millions of advertising offers and marketing gimmicks that are always in my face. If you really think that McDonalds is solely to blame for anyone's weight problem, then you sound exactly like a "typical American" with no sense of personal responsibility.

High five brother. Add vegimite to that as well. Vegemite is YUMMY! Even my cats love it! You have to eat it just right though - a thin spread on buttered toast, maybe with a fried egg or cheese on top.

Well, ok... I was lying about being gentle anyway. I'll stick the paddle in my bag for the next time I'm at the dz...

Actually, it's more like 40% this week... I am feeling bitchy. Sunshine wants me to spank her... Now I just need Keith's permission too, but he might not let me since I'm a girl. Can I, Keith? Please??? Pretty please, with sugar on top??? I promise to be gentle. Hmm, and I wouldn't mind spanking Cheney's lesbian daughter too......

So alcohol is not legal? It is my impression that something can be legal, yet regulated (such as alcohol, driving a motor vehicle, sex, etc.), which is what marijuana would be if it was legalized. Decriminalization gives me the impression that it would still be illegal, but with a lesser penalty and possibly no criminal record from it. But I honestly don't know... Any lawyers on here who would care to explain the difference?

It's still sitting on my desk, right next to me. Woohoo! Now I have TWO people to spank... Keith AND Sunny! Sounds like a party!

I had a friend tell me once that she bled after having sex with this guy who has a notoriously large penis. Judging from Kobe's overall body size, I think there's a good chance that he might have a large penis too, so it's possible that he could have caused her to bleed from normal consensual sex.

Don't worry, I am safely locked in my room where I can't hurt you. But if I ever get out, I would like to have a physical relationship with you because you have a great smile... And if I end up liking you, then I might stick around.

Ooh! Can I spank Keith, since he is being a naughty boy???

I just realized how old this thread is! Thanks for bringing it up though; it's interesting... One of my favorite William Blake poems: And an anonymous poem that was in one of my favorite childhood poetry books:

I meant "to make it not illegal." I think either of those words would work, although "decriminalize" could mean that it is still illegal but the punishment has been reduced, so that is why I chose "legalize."

I want to believe in you, sometimes... you bastard... to be carried across the sand when I am weak. Where are you when I am on my knees in need of passion, in need of darkness, in need of life??? Take me! Rape me! Cleanse me with blindness, numbness... Make me one. I will serve you, kiss your feet, for a knife in my heart... for two wings and a home in Heaven.

Oops, I should have put an "undecided" option in the poll. I have mixed feelings about it as well, though I'm pretty sure I would vote to legalize it... I don't like seeing how much money the government is spending to fight a war that apparently cannot be won (and a war that is about something that doesn't seem to be such a big concern in the first place). I would prefer some sort of law that allowed for people to grow it for their own use, but did not allow for it to be mass-produced and sold in a ready-to-use form like cigarettes and alcohol. Not sure how that would work exactly, but I think that too much convenience encourages addiction. Yes, I think that would be important. I have no problem with the "sin tax"... Maybe they could use some of that income to fund psychological research to find out why people have addictions and how to cure them??? (which would probably do a much better job of reducing drug abuse than the "war on drugs" is doing)

Just curious, if this issue was on the ballot, would you vote "yes" to legalize marijuana, or would you vote "no"? (this poll is only about marijuana - not any other drugs) I'm also interested in hearing why you would vote one way or the other. (And assuming that if it was legalized, it would have the same sort of restrictions that alcohol does.) I'm not asking whether you use or approve of the use of marijuana, just wondering how many people think it is worth keeping it illegal.

How much did having your first cutaway freak you out, if at all?
Shotgun replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in The Bonfire
My first cutaway freaked me out because I dreamt about it the night BEFORE it happened, almost exactly as it ended up happening. Bizarro. (I rarely dream about skydiving at all, and I think that's the only time I ever had a dream about a cutaway.) Also, I just happened to be using a demo rig instead of my own, which had a D-ring reserve handle instead of a pillow like my rig has. I had a hard time pulling the cutaway handle - had to use both hands and it took me several trys... but then the D-ring was very easy to grab and pull... So that ended up making me freaked out about having the pillow reserve handle on my own rig, wondering how hard it will be to pull if I ever have to use it. Since then, I have practiced every time I've had my reserve packed (and was shown how to peel the velcro before pulling), so I feel more comfortable with the pillow... But now I'm kinda glad I had a reserve ride on the other rig first! I don't know why I had not already been practicing pulling the handles when having my reserve packed - in hindsight, it seems like an obvious thing to do! -
Would you really want to use high speed internet with no firewall?

Or here is a whole list of other free web hosting services: http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Business_to_Business/Communications_and_Networking/Internet_and_World_Wide_Web/Network_Service_Providers/Hosting/Web_Site_Hosting/Free_Hosting/ I have personally never used any of these because I've always had web space either through my ISP or a home server, but I've been to some of the free GeoCities pages and their ads seem to be less obnoxious that some of the other free site ads.
-
GeoCities seems to be ok. They give you 15MB of free storage. It puts Yahoo ads on your page because it's "free", but you can pay a monthly fee if you don't want the ads on there (and you get more storage space with the fee). http://geocities.yahoo.com/

Come on, Jeffrey... As kinky as you claim to be, and you've never had sex in a public bathroom??? And here's a link that quade recently posted about a hetero couple having sex at the Alamo. The heathens!

You're in the wrong part of Texas. If you're gonna live in Texas, AUSTIN is the ONLY place to be. Fort Worth is only good for the occasional party (Tattoo Bar or Joe's Garage).

Don't forget the parachute pants! And the sweatshirts with the wide neck that hangs off one shoulder... and the legwarmers... and the sweatbands around your forehead.... One of the funniest books I've ever read is Blue Movie by Terry Southern - and very well written (IMO). Hmm, that reminds me - I need to read more Terry Southern! I could use a bit more humor in my life right now... Another book I recently read (and really liked) is Canyon Solitude: A Woman's Solo River Journey Through the Grand Canyon by Patricia McCairen... Here is one of the editorial reviews:

I have got some major booty shake music in my head . . .
Shotgun replied to kelel01's topic in The Bonfire
Ok, nut-job... I didn't *have* to be carried to my car - I *wanted* to be carried - there's a difference. It may have looked forceful, but I was just pretending. Actually it wasn't my car (truck) because I did not need to be driving - in fact, my truck is still up there because I haven't had a chance to go get it! Hmm, yeah that's it... I just wanted an excuse to drive Rich's MR2 around for a few days. Anyway, that wasn't me being a maniac Saturday night... That was just me being a total dork (one of my specialties). -

Yep, I knew it... We are all a bunch of sex-crazed maniacs.
