Does Sangiro get pied for reaching 1000 users?
Shotgun replied to cyberskydive's topic in The Bonfire
I'll help you! Pieing people is one of my favorite hobbies! -
Hmm, the Police would make for interesting bluegrass music... I'm trying to imagine how "Don't Stand So Close to Me" would sound... (my favorite Police song) The Austin Lounge Lizards do a cool bluegrass version of "Brain Damage" by Pink Floyd.

Oh man, I just looked it up on Amazon... and it suggested to me that I might also like A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC... so I am listening to the samples, and it has me in tears - that's some funny shit (if you like AC/DC). It also suggested Fade to Bluegrass: Tribute to Metallica which sounds pretty good too. And I listened to the samples of Pickin On Zeppelin (that you suggested)... very cool. "No Quarter" and "Battle of Evermore" sound particularly good bluegrass-style.

Ha ha... Kirk Hammet was probably my biggest inspiration for learning to play the guitar - and part of the reason I chose to learn classical. But... I had a chance to meet him when I was 17 and I was all excited because I sort of idolized him... So I meet him, and we did talk about music for a bit, but then he just starts hitting on me (I guess in my admiration I had overlooked the fact that he is a dude)... then I ask him if he is married and he says, "Let's put it this way... My wife is married, but I'm not." with a little wink. Anyhow, after that, it was hard to listen to Metallica anymore without thinking about what a jerk he is... but I didn't like the direction they went with their music anyway; they really lost me with that sandman song. I thought "Kill 'em All" and "Master of Puppets" were their best albums (but I haven't listened to any of their more recent stuff). I do sort of want to see that documentary they just put out though... I still suck. I have no musical talent, but I love to play anyway...

That's funny... You just reminded me of the Simpsons episode where they're singing "Ina-Gadda-Da-Vida" in church.

And don't forget "Smoke on the Water". I thought that was the required introduction to power chords for anyone learning to play the guitar... (or am I just old?) I once knew how to play Stairway, but I haven't played it in so long that I've forgotten... I think it's still a good song though. Even though Zeppelin IV is overplayed, it's still one of my favorite albums. Hmm, now you have me looking up Zeppelin tablature! "Made up my mind to make a new start, Going to California with an achin' in my heart."

Your sig line is funny.

Do you automatically click on any thread with "boobies" in the title?
Shotgun replied to SpeedRacer's topic in The Bonfire
Jesus, Ivan! That's a lot of boobage. Apparently I do. -
I'm voting by absentee, but I haven't mailed my ballot yet. I'm not sure about some of the propositions on the ballot, so I need to research a little more before voting... but I'll do that sometime in the next two days and get it mailed.

Oh. I assumed that you did that on purpose. Good to point out that even such highly-experienced jumpers can make dangerous mistakes. Be careful dude...

Hmm, I don't think I want the word "crusty" coming up during any sexual activities. Well, unless it involves pie or something...

I was just reading this article and thought it was interesting. We don't seem to have a cure for alcoholism at this point, other than abstinence programs which have a very low success rate (and are not really a "cure")... So it seems that gene therapy could be a possible solution. I don't know much about gene therapy, so I am curious to hear what others think about this... Ah, thanks Kris... Now I can vote on this most important issue. Oh, and I read Speaker's Corner for the pleasure of the pain... but only when I am feeling masochistic...

Maybe I'm just not fully awake yet, but what does "wgasa" mean???

Nice flight, Yuri. Looks like some interesting visuals.

Hmm... I think both sides of my shirt would say the same thing: "Psycho Bitch From Hell"... that sums up both my good and bad qualities.

Sure... I don't believe you anymore, you naughty little Canadian boy. You are now officially on my list of people who need to be spanked. Oh, and safe words are for sissies.

It wasn't a very smart or thoughtful thing for her to say, but it's not enough to change my vote... And I am not personally offended by it, but if I was a stay-at-home mom then I might be. (It is kinda sad that as a society in general we seem to be losing respect for stay-at-home moms, but that's a different subject, and I don't think she meant for it to sound that way.)

Those are so CUTE, Mel!!

If I drink wine, I prefer Chardonnay... but I tend to drink mostly whiskey, being the high-class lady that I am. I had never heard of Charles Shaw, so I had to look that one up... (the Internet is so great for people with short attention spans!)... I thought Trader Joe's write-up was kinda interesting: http://www.traderjoes.com/new/chuckshaw.asp So is the Two Buck Chuck any good? (I guess that's a silly question; you probably wouldn't be drinking it if you didn't like it!!??)

Is a safety word one of those secret words that you use to announce to others that a safety meeting is about to take place?

Hmm... Interesting... coming from Mr. "What is S&M?"

Yep, that's why I like to eat it sometimes. It never makes me feel sick though, unless I eat too much of it... but eating too much of anything makes me feel sick. Of course, when I am not eating junk food, the rest of my diet is fairly healthy, so I guess it all balances out. Junk food is good for the occasional treat, but I wouldn't want it to be the only food I eat. It has a high sugar content, and sugar seems to be addictive. Also, I think it tastes good, and anything that tastes good (or feels good, or whatever) can at least be mentally addictive. (I find that it's hard to draw the line between what is "mentally" or "physically" addictive.) I don't have an obesity problem. And if I see some stranger with an obesity problem, I wouldn't make it my business to start telling them how I think they should change their life (unless, of course, they asked for my opinion)... I would imagine that most people are aware that eating too much is bad for them, just as most alcoholics are aware that alcohol is bad and most smokers know that cigarettes can kill them... Most people are well aware of the dangers - the media is already full of this information, and some people even have common sense... but if you have a secret (one that really works) of how to stop an addiction or how to get motivated to lose weight and stay fit, I'm sure most of the world would be interested in hearing about it.

They should have fed him some Chupacabra Biscuits to keep him from eating the chickens. Geez, doesn't every Texan know that???
