I'm not sure... but I guess for people who work in the industry, more skydivers = more money (maybe?)... or at least more job security... Also... When I first started jumping, I was at a pretty small dz. There were only a few other female jumpers and they only did RW - which I didn't like so much, so I mostly only jumped with men (which was ok, but I was always wishing I had other women to jump with). Then Point Break came out and it seemed like business at the dz practically doubled overnight. I didn't like the change because it seemed like it brought a much more "macho" vibe to the dz... and then I quit jumping not long after that (for a lot of reasons)... Anyhow, when I started jumping again - about 7 years later - I couldn't believe how many people were at the dz, and especially how many women were out there (and I don't think Point Break deserves _all_ the credit for that, but I think it had a lot to do with it)... So, while at first I was mad at Point Break for "ruining skydiving" by "making it bigger" - it turned out to be more of a mixed blessing for me because more skydivers meant more people to choose from to jump with (and therefore easier to find people who I was compatible to jump with)... Of course, the bad side of skydiving getting bigger is that more skydivers also means more people who need to be added to the "needs to be watched out for" list.

It was given to us. It seems to me that people are so different from one another... that a generalized list of what men and women need would not work for most people. If I were a therapist, I'd probably have the couple make their own list of what was most important to them... But hey, it sounds like it worked for you, so what do I know?

Was this list something that the therapist gave you, or did you and your wife write the list? Just curious...

Just curious but where did you get this list? I'm not sure I agree with it at all. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing... Wondering why "sexual fulfillment" is not on the list of women's needs... and wondering why "financial support" is on the list (I don't think most women are looking for that in a relationship these days)... and I'm not really sure what "family commitment" means, but it doesn't sound like something that would be in my top 5 list of needs (though maybe most other women feel different about that???)...
