  1. I hate it when people can't spell too, but I hate it even more when people take someone else's writing and try to pass it off as their own. (http://www.udel.edu/bateman/acei/multint9.htm) Really, what IS the point in that? There is nothing wrong with quoting someone, but that would be a good time to use quotation marks and give proper credit.
  2. Yes, a rubber duck seems more fitting... He sort of looks like one in this picture: (Oh, and someone might want to show him how to hook his canopy up right.)
  3. I had a chiropractor help me with some chronic pain that no one else was able to help with. I spent three years in a lot of pain (to the point where it was interfering with my ability to function), going to many different doctors before I finally went to this highly recommended chiropractor. So I personally don't care what anyone else has to say about the field; it definitely helped me. I do still have some chronic pain, but at least it is now at a manageable level. (It generally only hurts now when I have not been taking very good care of myself.) But, like anything else, I think it all depends on who you go to.

    Sin City

It's one of those movies that has to be seen on the big screen, with a good sound system that is turned up LOUD... because it's more about the visual/sound experience than about telling a good story (in my opinion). And did I mention how sexy Benicio Del Toro's voice was in that movie? (I seem to keep thinking about it for some reason!)
  5. I don't know, but JackC's recipe sounds interesting... and Bill will probably enjoy this part of it: "Place ginger in cavity, clingfilm and leave overnight." I don't think he'll like being quartered and deep fried though. Hmm, but I guess that doesn't help to answer the "man or duck" question, sorry...

    Sin City

Just watched this last night... pretty freaky. I don't think it will go down in the best movies of all time, but it's one of those movies that is great fun to watch. The cinematography was excellent, and Mickey Rourke was great. And Benicio Del Toro's voice was turning me on, even though he was playing a total creep. Edited to add: Oh, but I didn't feel like "tossin' my salad" after it was over.
  7. One of the main things that they mention is that the patient needs to be able to give informed consent. And in this case, for a patient to truly give informed consent, they would need to understand the complex physical and psychological risks involved in this experimental procedure. From what little I know about it, I'm guessing that it would be somewhat similar to other transplants. But it is different than regular plastic surgery in that they are using foreign tissue that the patient's body might reject. As they mentioned, the patient may have to take anti-rejection medication for the rest of their life, which I believe would weaken their immune system and make them more susceptible to disease and such.
  8. But where would be the fun in that? And besides, I thought you liked looking at naked men.
  9. That's a good idea. I think you look particularly hot in this picture. (And your body resembles a certain governator.)

    Bought a House

Congratulations... We just bought a house too, signed the loan docs last night and will be moving in about two weeks.
  11. Wow, you did it again. Now I am going to have to revoke my opinion about you never admitting when you are wrong.
  12. That song was the first thing I thought of when I read the title, except I have the Verve Music Group version stuck in my head now. I don't remember it in a cartoon, but it seems like it would fit in one of those old cartoons where all the characters have big eyes (like Betty Boop).
  13. Ok, well since there will be no public spankings, I'm staying home. Actually, I can barely walk after the hike that we went on today, so I'm going to be lazy and watch a movie and then go to bed early... You guys have fun, and don't do anything that I wouldn't do.
  14. I may go out there for dinner tonight, depending on what time I get done with the stuff I need to do today. I won't be drinking, but it would be nice to go up there for a little while and see some people (haven't been there in ages!). So maybe I'll see you guys...
  15. That's funny. Of course I like him because he is weird (and a great artist, IMO). I also think it's pretty cool that he traded in his raging alcoholism for an obsession with golf (I think he's been sober for 20+ years now), and ended up turning into a good example of a "family man" without ever giving up his weirdness.
  16. Hey, I had an 8-track player as a kid too... but the only tapes I remember having were Elvis and Olivia Newton-John. All of my Alice Cooper stuff is vinyl, but I don't have a record player right now (and don't plan on buying one until I figure out a way to get all of my vinyl out of storage in Texas). I did finally download "Billion Dollar Babies" so I could listen to Alice, and I have a video from the "Welcome to My Nightmare" tour. I've only had the pleasure of seeing him in concert one time (actually twice - two nights in a row), but he put on one of the best shows ever, at the House of Blues in New Orleans...
  17. Oh, poor Sudsy... You should have called us. We would have let you sleep on the LoveSac, and our neighbors have wireless networks that you could use. (Or we have a projector in the livingroom, so you could have watched "Leatherbound Dykes from Hell, Part 12," larger-than-life and with surround sound.) Of course, I think I had just finally fallen to sleep around 1:30, so I probably would have told you to fuck off and die if you called and woke me up. (I'm a real charmer when I get woken up during the night. )
  18. Key lime is my favorite. Blueberry peach is pretty good too.
  19. http://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?p=black+prince+peripherique&ei=UTF-8&fr=FP-tab-vid-t&fl=0&cv=g&x=wrt Edited to add: Hope that helps, Mr. Pansy Boy.
  20. What, you can't do it yourself, pansy boy?
  21. You say that like you don't always have the urge to bite off a chicken head. (Come on, Nick, I know you do.)
  22. (Sorry, Bill, I just couldn't resist.)
  23. Well at least I found one other Alice Cooper fan... I didn't expect to find too many on here. Alice is my hero.
  24. Really??? I can't be turned on physically (usually) unless I am turned on mentally... which could involve visual stimulation or reading a story or just fantasizing, but it's definitely a mental thing for me... And to answer the original question... My left hand is not very useful for anything. I tried to force myself to learn to write left-handed when I was a kid, but it never worked very well...
