  1. I have found it to be pretty interesting to watch how people (who don't know me) react differently to my posts depending on what I have as my avatar. As for the rest of your post, well you're entitled to your opinion. People that are hung up on appearances usually hook up with other people who are hung up on appearances, so I guess it all works out, and it doesn't really affect me. It's not my thing, and my experience is that attitude can rarely be judged by appearance. And I also find that a person's attractiveness increases or decreases as I get to know them, depending on their personality, but that's just me...
  2. I just spanked your ass.
  3. Cool, I'll have to see if I can get Rich to start smoking again so that I can have some second-hand smoke to inhale. Or I guess I could just go play bingo.
  4. Er, I meant Amazon suggested.... Oh, and Sarah, if you're going back to Sioux Falls, try this place: http://www.worldmarket.com/home.jsp. They don't seem to have their tea online, but they have lots of it in the store (at least here in CA and in TX they do). We recently got some good redbush and 500 mile chai from there, but I didn't notice if they had jasmine.
  5. I bought some really good jasmine tea from my acupuncturist - that might be a place to try. And I think that I've seen it at most of the grocery stores, but I'm in California where all these hippie goofballs are into drinking tea. And, as someone else already suggested, look for an Asian market - they'll probably have it.
  6. Hey, I already tried being UNreasonable, by suggesting that we should just overthrow the Mexican government... but nobody wanted to argue or agree with me on that. But, hmm... maybe that wasn't such an unreasonable suggestion...

Hmm, well the first thing that comes to mind is not something that I want to say in a public forum. Of course I doubt that it would make a difference anyway, because my historical self would probably just tell my current self to screw off.
  8. What makes you so sure that most of these illegal immigrants do not want to become American citizens, own a home, send their children to good schools, etc.? My observations would make me think the opposite - that most of them do want to start a new life in America... But I can't speak with authority on that since I haven't spent much time discussing such things with illegal immigrants. Now I do have a bit of experience with legal immigrants, and I can say that going through the immigration process here is not particularly easy. For someone who does not speak English as their first language, I would imagine that the legal documents involved would be pretty difficult to understand, and most of these people coming over from Mexico can probably not afford to hire a lawyer to help with this. Of course I don't encourage people to come over here and break our laws, but we have a problem at the moment that we are at least partially responsible for. It would be ridiculous to suddenly try to round up millions of illegal immigrants and send them back to wherever they came from. Yes, we should tighten our borders and try harder to prevent more illegal immigrants from coming in, but we need to find a _reasonable_ solution for the current situation. I don't know what the answer is though... maybe some way of making it easier for employers to sponsor these people, so that those who are truly here to work and start a new life can have a legitimate means of earning American citizenship?
  9. I think that you and Duckwater (Skaggs) would make a great couple.
  10. I think that the Navy's "accelerate your life" ads are sort of odd. It just sounds like they're saying that your life will be over a lot faster if you join the Navy.
  11. Just an FYI; it would require amending the US Constitution to do that. Not an impossible task, but amending the US Constitution is, by design, a very lengthy, cumbersome & difficult process. Could the Supreme Court just re-interpret the meaning of "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" in the 14th Amendment? Either way, it is something that really needs to be fixed.
  12. I think that we should just overthrow the Mexican government and make Mexico part of the United States. Seems like that would solve the problem... Seriously though, I don't think that we should be encouraging illegal immigration. Yes, maybe we should want them here, but it's not fair to those who go the legal route for us to be letting others stay here illegally. We definitely need to quit granting American citizenship to children of illegal immigrants that are born on US soil; that's not only encouraging illegal immigration, it's also encouraging people to have children when they are in no position to support them.
  13. I hate that I don't get enough work to earn a living with this job (but it's ok while I'm going to school), and that my work schedule is rather erratic. And I hate having to drive up and down steep muddy hills with my little stick-shift pickup (though I do get a nice vertigo/adrenaline rush from it sometimes ). But I love getting to see lots of neat homes and land, meeting interesting people, and spending a lot of time outside - mostly in Fallbrook, CA, which is such a beautiful place.
  14. Hey, it's their life. If their main goal in life is to have a husband (and I'm assuming a family too), then why is that sad? Hopefully most of them find someone who is looking for the same thing... As for the age thing, that is interesting... Since I have never spent any time looking for someone to marry, I haven't paid much attention to which men are "marriable" or not... But thinking of the men that I know, I guess there could be something to it.
  15. And I can't wait for Hell! Satan's kinda cute, in a devilish sort of way...
  16. Sold my condo and my beloved Alfa and took more than a 50% pay cut so that I could move to Perris and jump at a bigger dz 7 days a week. And here I am five years later, not even jumping anymore so that I can go back to school (and a few other reasons), but I'll be back... Oh and yes, when I was jumping, I would pretty much calculate all other purchases based on how many skydives it would cost me.
  17. Ever since I've had a computer that automatically updates the time, I have never missed the time change... But before that, there were a couple of times when I showed up to work on Monday an hour early or an hour late because I forgot to change the clocks. Woo hoo, more daylight!
  18. There's a great scene with a strategically placed Santa hat. We finally got around to watching Jarhead last night, and I thought it was a great movie! I usually don't like war movies, but for some reason I really liked this one. Not that I like war though, just thought it was a well-made movie. Oh, and the Santa hat was cute too.
  19. Well, when you put it that way, I guess I see your point. Sorry, I didn't think about the fact that you could have had experience with HOA's in other ways. My bad...
  20. Feel free to post pics of said penis. I'm so glad you didn't address that to me!!!! whew!!!! Well you should feel free to post pics too, Walt, but only if you are feeling happy about having a penis.
  21. Feel free to post pics of said penis.
  22. Ok, I finally got around to reading the whole article, and first of all I have to say: Ewww! But other than that, it's an interesting idea. Though it does sort of seem that what the animal eats would affect how its meat tastes(?), and if that's the case then I wonder how they will get it to taste "normal." But the possible environmental benefits of in vitro meat make it seem like something that is definitely worth the research.
