I can't believe you forgot the option for Tarzan and Jane. Well, not that I'm into jungle scenes, but isn't that a classic?
-
No intellgent person does What do you think it does contain?

Here you go, Krisanne: http://www.cyberbee.com/whodunnit/powder.html Yeah, I have no real advice for you. What a bizarre situation. I hope you figured out a good way to deal with it.

Oh, and BTW, I have plenty to hide..... which is a good reason to avoid drawing attention to myself by breaking traffic laws.
-
How is getting a speeding ticket (for actually speeding!) giving up any of my rights? Because it wasn't fair that the familiar sight of a police car was not there to warn me to stop breaking the law?
-
If it encourages people to stop speeding and running red lights, etc., then it does promote safety. If people are breaking the law and making the roads more dangerous, I see nothing wrong with using creative tactics to catch them.

My typical responce is "NO, Those pants dont make your ass look fat, But the extra 25 Lbs you packed on lately sure do." Maybe that is why I am still not married. That's pretty much what my husband said to me the one time I asked him that question. But the only reason I was asking was because I was curious to see how he would react, so I sort of expected a funny answer. It's a silly question to ask a man.
-
The correct answer to that is: "No, but your ass makes your ass look fat."

Rent a kayak? My mom lives in Kingsland (on Lake LBJ near Marble Falls, TX). She woke up early yesterday morning and stepped out of bed into about two inches of water. The ground had gotten so saturated that water came in and flooded the whole downstairs area of their house.

Well, there was that one time that I found myself in the parking lot of a nursing home, petting an oil spot on the ground that I thought was my best friend's cat. Oh wait, maybe those meds weren't prescribed... well, not by a doctor anyway.

Hey, that sounds remarkably like public school! Just kidding... Actually I liked most of my teachers, and most of the other students were ok too. I did get spanked once though, ironically by one of my favorite teachers, and I thought that was pretty uncool. Teachers have no business hitting their students. I have no experience with parochial schools, and I think that I am thankful for that.

Being offended by unclothed tits is even sillier than being offended by church commercials or beer advertisements. Yeah, I guess it's a social thing, but only in an uptight society.

Well, I'm not a Harry-hater, but I only opened this thread because I thought you must have a friend named Harry with an interesting scar, and I was wondering what that hell kind of scar is called a horcrux. Yeah, I'm slow... (and apparently not a Harry Potter fan, but I can't really hate him since I haven't read any of the books). Ok, carry on now. Sorry for the interruption.

There are certain segments of Islam trying to convert the world to Christianity??? Ok, I know that's not what you meant. I guess I see your point. But I personally feel as indifferent toward the religious channels as I do toward the sports channels or the shopping channels. I mean, they're all sending a message that I don't want to hear. Shopping channels encourage consumerism. Sports channels encourage an "us against them" mentality. Religious channels encourage worshiping a certain god. All the same to me. I would just rather ignore them than waste my time being upset about it.
-
Why must you pay for them? Especially if you hardly ever watch TV. If I were you, I'd cancel my cable and let the company know why. (If you're really that annoyed that they carry religious channels.)
-
Ok, I'm a bit surprised to hear that you watch ESPN, but the Shopping Channel??? You missed this bit out (emphasis mine): "Are you equally put out by all the other (non religious) channels that you have no interest in watching?" Yesterday I was at the car dealer waiting for them to finish servicing, and the shopping channel was on the TV in the waiting room. Two nights ago I was having a drink with friends, and ESPN was on 5 separate big screens in the bar. And are the religious channels ever on in those public situations? If not, then I see no reason to care about what they are "telling you," because they can't actually tell you anything unless you watch them.

So don't subscribe to cable. We have cable, but we only watch a small percentage of the channels we get. It would be nicer if we could choose channels and only pay for those, but that's not how they have it set up. So we have the choice to either not have cable, or to have cable with all the extra channels that we don't need. I suppose we could try to get the cable company to change their policies, but so far it hasn't seemed worth the effort (and I doubt they would change it anyway). I never see any of the Christian shows, because I don't watch those channels. I don't watch sports either. Luckily, no one forces me to watch any of the stuff that I don't want to watch. If I was truly upset about my money going to support these other channels, I'd choose not to have cable.

Hey, you're going to Europe. You'll be alright without deodorant. But good luck in having a better travel day today! Sounds like it will be a fun vacation.
-
Leave it to you to be screwing roses. I don't even want to hear about what other sick things you're in to. (But you can send me pictures if you want to. )
-
Cool. I prefer the thorny kind.

Man-made laws and jails are also good tools for teaching morality, and similar to certain religions in that they teach "morality" based on fear of punishment. But hey, that's better than no morality at all.

If you had naked photos of several male DZ.commers, what would you do?
Shotgun replied to NWFlyer's topic in The Bonfire
Thanks. I got an actual chuckle out of that. (No offense guys, but it is a funny picture. -
Cool! I bet God has a wicked flogger.

The title of this thread was written by an atheist, so I don't take it to be an attack on atheists. And then I got the impression that NC was saying that the 26% who voted that atheists are immoral are probably the people with the lowest IQ's. Or did I misunderstand something?
