Well if I don't get my mind off of skydiving and concentrate more on work, I may lose my well paying computer job and my ability to jump numerous times every weekend. Of course I find myself in a catch-22 situation. I can't stop thinking about skydiving, but I can't think about skydiving. Don't sell yourself short. You've done something nine times more than the majority of the world's population will ever do. You are a skydiver. You just may not know it. I predict that Sunnydee is going to be this freefly goddess before you know it (what with her enthusiasm and the fact the she jumps at a world famous FL DZ). Out of necessity I have to be more proficient with my sit (I weigh 200 lbs naked) and occasionally jump with people who are much lighter than me. So my sit is better than my head down. But I am also working on getting better with my head down transitions and daffys. To help you recognize me, I do look like my avatar and I'm at Mile-Hi most weekends. I wear baggy white freefly pants and in the summer, I often seem to jump in a t-shirt. I also jump a side-mount Hawkeye camera helmet. I'm no freefly rock star (yet ), but I'm much better now than I was at the Eloy Holiday boogie. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

So you were at our CASA boogie and you didn't say Hi? Man I'm insulted. Just pulling your leg ... there were so many people there it was hard to know who was who. Were you there Saturday and Sunday? I was one of the few freefliers there all weekend. I couldn't believe that the RW folks out numbered us darksiders. But that was just one very busy weekend. I will admit that I did do a few extra jumps this last year because I wanted to get my D before Sept 30th. But I also did tons of jumps because I enjoy doing them and would like to get better. Besides, I'm not naive enough to think that now that I've applied for my D (two weekends ago), I am an expert skydiver (I'm nowhere near being an expert). I got humbled last weekend doing some freeflying with a friend who has similiar jump numbers to myself and the dude is currently a much better freeflier than I am.
