My lovely, what are you on about? But it would be good to see you again. Johan. I am. I think.

Hmmmmm ....... Have you guys made arrangements for decent weather? I might finally catch up with you there .. Johan. I am. I think.

Dude! You're not big, you're strong! I'm 216# otd, and I really don't think of myself as big. Not even by European standards. Performance is in the pilot. (Well, you were saying that ) Johan. I am. I think.

Jarno has (had?) a girlfriend ?!? Which one? PS Check your e-mail. Johan. I am. I think.

I prefered that canopy you flew at the Herc boogie... The one where you lost one or two lines on every jump Did that one ever end up on a bonfire anywhere? That was a PD 9-Cell 150 @ 1.4. Older than history, and more worn than a brandwar. I gave it back to the owner, and got a Triathlon 135 from him. Shortly after that, Aerodyne did the 700$ sale on new Tris

And there's another option. Don't get paid, but have to be a member of the club - these guys actually PAY to fly. Retired airline pilots mostly, at a very small club. If you want to work to jump, pack. The investment is a lot lower. And the pay may be better - if you don't count flight hours as payment. Johan. I am. I think.

Triathlon 120. Square enough (ie completely) to be reliable, loaded enough to be fun. Johan. I am. I think.

Two stupid question to women experienced in wingsuit flying:)
JohanW replied to Hagen's topic in Wing Suit Flying
relatively more drive, less lift? Some people would appreciate such a suit, methinks. But they wouldn't just be ladies. It seems like a valid design for a suit. Just the name is silly. Johan. I am. I think. -
I'll be trying to make it. If you want me to be there, post a video on Thursday with a solid view of the ground. Not like the one you did at Spa
-
So I got this image of 10-way speed in wingsuits and then I though NO LIFT and thought better of it. Johan. I am. I think.

I'd say Hans has you all to himself I'll try to keep the Zell weekend free. Johan. I am. I think.
-
Damn. Have prior obligation on the 30th. I'm not about to drive to Denmark v.v. for one day. When's Zell a.S. again? Johan. I am. I think.

Back when I was invincible, somewhere between 100 and 300 jumps, I hammered into the ground on a low turn once. Happened on Tuesday, jumping again on Thursday, nothing broken, just sore. Since then I have turned low-ish once or twice, but never anything I couldn't solve more or less gracefully. Or plain-and-simple digging-for-dear-life glad-I-barely-made-it absolutely graceless, once more. And once, as a fledgeling student, I landed in a ditch. Through barbed wire. With my canopy in the branches of the tree on the other side of the ditch. That hurt an arm a little, but nothing that kept me from jumping. Johan. I am. I think.

Given sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. But, missiles, the man says. How 'bout an A-10 Thunderbolt theme? aka the Warthog. Johan. I am. I think.

There is a cost for everything.
JohanW replied to diablopilot's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Which means you're probably quite expensive. In something, anything, other than money. This doesn't need to be a bad thing at all, of course. Johan. I am. I think. -
- it packs easier - it actually flies into the wind - you can land the smaller canopy better Good and bad are left as an exercise for the jumper. Ask your instructor. Canopy flying is fun! Flying smaller canopies is more fun Just don't overdo it. Johan. I am. I think.

Not really. It'd be PhotoShopped anyway. Johan. I am. I think.

And my experience was completely different. I got a training program beforehand, then a briefing, a suit and a plan, and when I executed that plan and was humming along the pattern nicely, my BMI and another jumper showed up at my right and left respectively, and I flew a 3-way on my first flight. This BMI I believe got his rating before there was a formalised BMI program, and the other jumper never got a rating. I just love n=1 experiments. Johan. I am. I think.

But that was not a double suit, was it? If I remember correctly, only the TI was wearing a wingsuit. Johan. I am. I think.
