I was thinking the same thing.

Yuck.....you should be able to do 6-7 miles even on a no-wind day. To me, it's a fun x-country when only half the jumpers make it back to the DZ. Unless it was a sunset load, and they didn't want to hunt for y'all all night.

9:00 am Sunday morning. Me: "Damn! It's colder than s*** out here!" Omar : "Yeah....me and Greg were watching the balloon earlier, thinking how crazy those b******* were for jumping this morning." All day Saturday....I was so pumped up I didn't realize until sunset that I hadn't had breakfast OR lunch. She is something else......just the fact she could keep me in the formation all day speaks volumes about her coaching ability. I don't doubt that for a moment. Betsy is a flyer par excellence....it was a blast jumping with her. I told her afterwards that was the best way I could think of to end a year of jumping. She was definitely moving me and Justin around like pawns on a chessboard.

6 days, 3 jumping days....2 trips into Phoenix, trips to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Got to meet about 30 more dot.commers, but missed probably 60 others.....and they were all even cooler in person than they are on-line (with the exeption of skreamer). 2 balloon jumps....1 with Wingnut and Rosa. Dave got some great exit video, but luckily wasn't close enough to film my landing. When he walked up to help me get my canopy out of the tall bush it was knotted up in, he pointed to this massive trench in the desert hardpan, started laughing, and said "Did you do THAT??!!?"

No problem here either.....carry-on through Greensboro-Houston-Phoenix last week and back through the same route this week. It was wanded for explosives the second time through Houston, but that was probably because I look like a suspicious sort. One of the pilots saw me carry it on, grinned, and said " Do you think you're going to need that?" I grinned back and said " I guess that depends on how well you fly this thing."

Definitely. It's very rare now to see something posted that hasn't been posted a million times before. But growth is good, too....in the early days, this information only reached a relative handful of folks, whereas now there are thousands and thousands of people reaping the benefits of what Sangiro envisioned when he started this site...that new skydivers would never have to pay for information that could save their lives. Agreed. You could log in on Monday morning, and read ALL the weekend posts in about 15 minutes. And Freaksis and mikeD10270......Mike kept me in stitches, plus gave me help anytime I asked for it....that was extremely important to me as a new jumper. In my opinion, that's the absolute best thing this site has provided to the general "lay" skydivers (fun jumpers) -- such a large base of knowledge to draw on. So many leading figures in the sport post here so often, and we should be grateful for their input. Do you think you could just e-mail Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods, and ask them for help with your game ?
